Mobile Company Restroom Incidents

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

There were two major incidents related to restrooms at mobile companies, both of which attracted public attention and discussion.

The first incident occurred at a mobile service outlet in a certain city. A customer, feeling thirsty, asked a staff member for drinking water, and the staff member directly fetched water from a restroom tap for the customer to drink. This act was discovered and photographed by another customer, who then uploaded the photos to the internet, quickly sparking widespread public debate. The incident revealed serious issues in the service management of the mobile service outlet. On one hand, the outlet had not established comprehensive service procedures and hygiene standards, causing staff members to fail to provide services in a correct and hygienic manner when faced with customer needs. On the other hand, insufficient training and education for employees resulted in a lack of basic service awareness and hygiene knowledge, leading to such inappropriate behavior. This not only infringed upon the rights of the customer but also negatively impacted the image of the mobile company.

The second incident took place on March 20, 2020, at a China Mobile service outlet in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. A security guard exposed that the outlet was filling toilet water into barreled water for customers to drink, claiming that the barreled water had turned green and smelled bad, and had even caused some children to suffer from symptoms such as diarrhea. After this information was exposed, it triggered strong public outrage and condemnation. The police promptly collected evidence from the outlet and questioned the store manager, while the health bureau also intervened in the handling. However, China Mobile subsequently issued a survey announcement stating that the claims made by the whistleblower were unfounded, that the source of the barreled water was normal, and that the security guard involved would face accountability. In this incident, there were discrepancies between the statements of both parties, but regardless of the final outcome, it reflected the public's emphasis on drinking water safety and their high regard for the honest operation of enterprises.

These two incidents serve as a reminder to enterprises, especially those in the service industry, that they must attach great importance to service management and hygiene safety, strengthen employee training, and establish comprehensive service procedures and supervision mechanisms to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests and physical health of customers.
