Mobile and Eco-Friendly Toilets
Mobile and eco-friendly toilets are commonly referred to as eco-friendly toilets, ecological toilets, or mobile toilets in China, and their international generic name is non-sewered sanitation facilities. These two concepts are essentially similar and come in various types and features.

Compact and Smart Type: These eco-friendly mobile public toilets are designed to be compact and highly intelligent. They are equipped with a complete set of internal systems, including a waste collection system, sinks, smart mirrors, and ambient lighting. Typically manufactured in their entirety at the factory, they can be put into use immediately after purchase, offering convenience and speed. They are suitable for locations with specific space and intelligence requirements.
Waterless Type: These toilets can treat waste without the need for traditional water flushing, using physical, biological, or chemical technologies to replace the flushing function. This type is suitable for locations without access to water and sewer systems, such as remote mountainous areas and wild construction sites. The standard for these toilets is GB/T18092 - 2000 'Waterless Sanitation Toilets', which came into effect on October 1, 2000.
Customized Type: These toilets can be customized according to different needs. For example, the steel-structured public toilets in Xining for mobile and eco-friendly use can produce various types of mobile toilets, including waterless packaged mobile toilets, foam-sealed mobile toilets, and water-flushed mobile toilets. Additionally, the double-squat mobile restroom produced by Gu Yijia features unique designs in terms of shape, material, and internal configuration. It has a pointed roof on top, a platform at the bottom, special toilet doors, smart indicator signs, marble flooring inside, and is equipped with sinks and squat toilets.
Humanistic Design Type: These toilets leverage the toilet revolution as an opportunity to upgrade the tourism service system. For instance, grassland tourism toilets are equipped with hot and cold water taps, allowing tourists to adjust the water temperature according to day-night temperature differences. Each toilet has a shelf placed at the front right for storing personal belongings conveniently. Humorous prompts are placed in front of the squat toilet doors. Some toilets blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment, featuring anti-corrosion wooden exteriors and pole-and-rail-style fake windows, enhancing the tourist experience.
