Microbial Ecological Mobile Toilet
The microbial ecological mobile toilet is a type of public toilet that uses solid-liquid separation technology as its foundation and achieves harmless treatment of excreta through microbial decomposition. The following provides an introduction from multiple aspects:

Initial Operation Characteristics
During the initial operation of a microbial ecological mobile toilet, 70 - 80 kilograms of water need to be injected at one time to maintain the activity of the microbial community. In subsequent use, it features water conservation, mobility, and no water flushing. Compared with traditional water toilets, it significantly reduces water consumption, making it especially suitable for areas with scarce water resources.
Structural and Performance Advantages
Its housing adopts a steel-frame cement composite structure, which gives the toilet excellent thermal insulation performance and a service life of over 20 years. It can adapt to various environments such as scenic spots, high-altitude and water-scarce areas, and public places. Some models are also equipped with intelligent temperature control systems, with an operating temperature exceeding 60℃. In high-temperature environments, they have both sterilization and disinfection functions, effectively ensuring the hygiene inside the toilet.
Technological Development History
Early microbial ecological mobile toilets used plastic bag packaging technology, but due to high costs, this technology was gradually phased out. Modern technology decomposes feces into carbon dioxide, water, and organic fertilizer through microbial communities, achieving harmless treatment and resource utilization of excreta. At the same time, 5G and Internet of Things technologies are applied for remote monitoring, enabling managers to promptly understand the operating status of the toilets and carry out maintenance and management.
Application Case Results
This technology was deployed in 13 venues at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The construction cost per toilet cubicle was 100,000 yuan lower than that of traditional water toilets, reducing construction costs. The carbon-neutral public toilets deployed in Chengdu in 2024 save over 3,000 tons of water per year. The steel-frame structure can operate in environments as cold as -28℃. Currently, the annual maintenance cost is 15,000 yuan, performing well in terms of water conservation, adaptation to harsh environments, and cost reduction for maintenance.
Diverse Product Types
For example, the 304 stainless steel microbial degradation squat toilet has functions such as biological fermentation, constant temperature and humidity control, and exhaust and odor prevention. It supports multiple opening and closing methods, including electric induction, foot pedal, and button operation, and can be customized as required. It features separation of urine and feces with no water flushing and a large-diameter dry toilet design, allowing normal use even in extremely cold areas. After upgrades to component details, the product is more durable.
