Microbial Degradation Mobile Toilet
Quản trị 12 tháng 10, 2026
The microbial degradation mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly and efficient sanitation facility based on microbial decomposition technology, requiring no water supply and drainage pipelines, and suitable for water-scarce, sewage-free, or temporary scenarios.

Technical Principles and Core Functions
This toilet degrades excrement through microbial strains, with core processes including:
- Feces-urine separation: Using photoelectric sensing technology to trigger movable baffles, achieving automatic separation of urine and feces, reducing odors, and optimizing degradation efficiency.
- Constant-temperature mixed degradation: The fermentation tank is equipped with an 800W heating device and a stirrer. Through mechanical transmission, excrement and microbial strains are thoroughly mixed, maintaining an appropriate temperature (above approximately 60°C) to accelerate decomposition.
- Harmless treatment: Excrement is ultimately converted into carbon dioxide, water vapor, a small amount of ammonia, and non-toxic organic fertilizer. Gases are discharged through exhaust pipes in compliance with standards, and residues can be directly used for agricultural fertilization.
Technical Features and Advantages
- Water and energy conservation:
- Initially, only 70-80 kilograms of water are required to activate the microbial community, with no need for continuous water supply thereafter, saving over 3,000 tons of water annually (as exemplified by the carbon-neutral public toilet in Chengdu).
- Daily power consumption is 3-5 kilowatt-hours, supporting operation in environments as cold as minus 28°C (such as in high-altitude regions).
- Low maintenance costs:
- Annual maintenance costs are approximately 15,000 yuan, with the construction cost per toilet seat being 100,000 yuan lower than that of traditional water toilets (data from the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics).
- Microbial strains are replaced every 3-6 months, resulting in low maintenance frequency.
- Significant environmental benefits:
- No sewage is discharged throughout the process, and residues serve as organic fertilizer, achieving resource recycling.
- The intelligent temperature control system (operating above 60°C) also functions as a sterilization and disinfection mechanism, reducing the risk of pathogen transmission.
Structural Composition and Intelligent Control
The equipment consists of a light steel house, squat/urinal toilets, a fermentation and degradation tank, exhaust pipes, a PLC constant-temperature and humidity control system, a ventilation system, and ancillary facilities (such as clothing hooks and toilet paper holders).
- PLC system: Automates the entire degradation process, monitoring parameters such as temperature and humidity.
- Intelligent temperature control: Some models are equipped with temperature overlimit alarms to ensure microbial strain activity and treatment efficiency.
Typical Application Scenarios
- Water-scarce or sewage-free areas: Such as scenic spots, high-altitude regions, and remote public places.
- Temporary or mobile needs: The light steel structure facilitates easy disassembly and reassembly, making it suitable for emergency rescue and large-scale events.
- High environmental protection requirement venues: It has been deployed in areas such as the Beijing Olympic venues and the Badaling Great Wall, verifying its stability and ecological compatibility.
