Materials for Making a Mobile Toilet

Quản trị 24 tháng 9, 2026

The following materials can be selected for making a mobile toilet, and they should be reasonably combined according to functional requirements:

  1. Main structural materials
The water storage tank or container is a core component. Usually, corrosion-resistant plastic materials (such as PE tanks) or metal materials (such as stainless steel containers) are chosen. Its functions include:
  • Serving as the foundation of the toilet space: By cutting openings,蹲位 (squatting positions) or sitting areas can be formed. In some cases, a pallet is stacked on top of the water storage container to expand the internal height.
  • Storing sewage: A drainage port needs to be reserved and connected to pipes to ensure the smooth discharge of excrement.
  • Supporting other components: Such as fixing the toilet, water tank, or wall frame.
  1. Frame and support materials
Wooden boards or strips are used to build the skeleton structure of the toilet. Damp-proof treated wood (such as anti-corrosion wood) should be selected to extend its service life:
  • Wall frame: Rectangular frames are built with wooden strips to support wall materials such as plastic soft boards or stainless steel plates.
  • Door panel production: Wooden boards can be spliced or discarded honeycomb wooden boards can be used to reduce costs. Hinges are required to enable the opening and closing function.
  • Height adjustment: Wooden strips are added at the bottom of the water storage container to elevate it and prevent direct contact with the ground, which could cause corrosion.
  1. Mobile and fixed materials
Casters are the key to achieving mobility. Industrial-grade casters with strong load-bearing capacity (such as polyurethane casters with brakes) should be selected:
  • Installation position: Fixed at the four corners of the bottom of the water storage container to ensure even force distribution.
  • Stability: When stationary, the brakes need to be locked to prevent sliding.
  1. Sanitation and water supply system materials
  • Toilet and water tank: Water-saving toilets should be preferred, and the water tank needs to be connected to the water pipe for flushing.
  • Pipe system: Including PVC water pipes, elbows, tees, etc., used to connect the water tank, toilet, and drainage port. Sealing is required to prevent water leakage.
  • Hand-washing basin: Plastic soft boards or stainless steel basins can be selected, and they need to be equipped with faucets and water inlet pipes.
  1. Auxiliary and sealing materials
  • Self-tapping screws: Used to fix wooden strips, the outer frame of the water storage container, and other components. Stainless steel screws should be selected to prevent rust.
  • Angle grinders or hole-opening tools: Used when cutting the water storage tank, opening drainage ports, or installing connectors. Protective equipment should be worn during operation.
  • Sealing materials: Glass glue is used to fill gaps (such as the connection between the toilet and the ground), and waterproof paint can be applied to the surface of wooden boards to improve damp-proof performance.

Precautions:

  • Before production, the dimensions need to be planned to ensure that the capacity of the water storage container meets the usage requirements (for example, the daily water consumption for a single person is about 50L).
  • The drainage system needs to be designed with a reasonable slope to avoid sewage retention.
  • Mobile toilets are suitable for temporary places (such as construction sites and exhibitions). For long-term use, regular maintenance of pipes and casters is required.
