Kaifeng Mobile Toilet Revolution

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

Kaifeng's 'Toilet Revolution' is primarily manifested in two aspects: intelligent management and the widespread application of mobile toilets.

In terms of intelligent management, the Urban Management Bureau of Kaifeng Demonstration Zone has launched the 'Convenient Public Toilet Cloud Platform' to achieve resource sharing and service upgrades for public toilets. This platform integrates detailed information on 115 public toilets within its jurisdiction. Through a one-click query function, the public can quickly locate nearby public toilets; the navigation service can plan the optimal route to solve the problem of 'difficulty in finding toilets.' Additionally, the platform provides channels for toilet-use comments and problem feedback, allowing users to evaluate the hygiene and facilities of public toilets or report malfunctions, prompting management departments to optimize services promptly. The platform's coverage is not limited to public toilets but also includes information on 19 transfer stations and 6 sanitation stations, forming an integrated 'toilet + sanitation' service network that enhances the refined management level of urban public facilities.

Regarding the promotion and application of mobile toilets, Kaifeng has widely deployed mobile toilets in temporary events and special scenarios through leasing and sales models to meet diverse needs. Mobile toilets, with their environmentally friendly and green characteristics, have become the preferred supporting facilities for large-scale events such as marathons, concerts, and music festivals. Their construction period is shorter than that of traditional toilets, allowing for rapid deployment. Moreover, their sizes are flexible and adjustable: small-sized mobile toilets are fully equipped internally to meet basic usage needs; large-sized ones can add functional areas such as disabled toilets, third toilets, urinals, management rooms, and母婴室 (nursing rooms) to cater to different groups' needs. For example, in long-term construction scenarios like construction sites, large-sized mobile toilets can provide more comprehensive sanitation services; in short-term events like music festivals, small-sized mobile toilets become the mainstream choice due to their efficient deployment and low cost.

Kaifeng's 'Toilet Revolution,' through the coordinated development of intelligent platforms and mobile toilets, has not only improved the service quality and management efficiency of urban public toilets but also solved the toilet problems in temporary scenarios through flexibly deployed mobile toilets, forming a diversified 'fixed + mobile' toilet service system.
