Is Prefabricated Cement House Scientific?

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated cement houses have their scientific rationality, but they also have obvious defects and cannot be simply judged as completely scientific or unscientific.

Scientific Aspects

  • Construction Period and Cost Advantages: Prefabricated cement houses have a short construction period and are easy to install. Installation can be completed in as fast as 4 hours, and the price per square meter can be as low as over 300 yuan. This efficient construction method and relatively low cost make them scientifically reasonable in scenarios with high requirements for construction speed and cost control.
  • Seismic Performance: Some prefabricated components produced by regular companies have good seismic performance when assembled by professionals. This indicates that under standardized production and installation processes, prefabricated cement houses can meet certain seismic requirements and possess a certain degree of safety.

Existing Problems

  • Safety Hazards: There are gaps at the edges of the spliced prefabricated panels, which are the root cause of safety hazards. Even a minor earthquake can cause the house to collapse. Moreover, the quality of prefabricated cement panels on the market varies greatly, with most being inferior products and having a short service life. In addition, the connection and fixation are poor, making houses of three or more stories relatively dangerous, and the assembled gaps are prone to cracking.
  • Poor Living Performance: The sound insulation ability is extremely poor. The prefabricated panels are not thick enough and have long circular holes in the middle, allowing sound to penetrate easily, and the structure itself is prone to transmitting sound. The moisture-proof effect is poor, and the probability of roof leakage on the top floor is 30% higher than that of brick houses. The thermal insulation is poor, resulting in air-conditioning electricity bills being 20-30% higher.
  • Discrepancy Between Designed Lifespan and Actual Situation: It is claimed that the designed lifespan is 60 years, but in reality, major repairs are required after about 40 years, reflecting certain problems with its durability.
  • Limited Space Layout: The space layout has limited personalization. The modularization is too strong, and the layout of regional functional dimensions cannot achieve details, making it difficult to meet diverse living needs.
