How to Paint Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 08 tháng 10, 2026

The method for painting mobile toilets should be selected based on their material properties. Common materials include fiberglass and ordinary materials, with specific operations as follows:

Fiberglass Mobile Toilets

  1. Surface Preparation
Use a sander to thoroughly remove oxide scale, welding slag, dust, and oil from the fiberglass surface to ensure coating adhesion. If there is a lot of oil, first clean it with a metal rust remover, then rinse and scrub with clean water. For uneven areas, fill with putty and apply fiberglass cloth after 24 hours to prevent cracking due to excessive thickness.

  2. Multi-Layer Coating ("Three-Cloth Five-Coat" Process)

    • Primer Application: Apply epoxy resin primer evenly to enhance adhesion and avoid missed spots.
    • Fiberglass Cloth Laying: Use the "three-cloth" (primer + two layers of fiberglass cloth) or "five-cloth" (primer + three layers of cloth + two additional layers) process, with an overlap width of the fiberglass cloth of at least 50mm.
    • Intermediate and Top Coats: Apply an intermediate coat of epoxy resin mortar and a top coat of acid- and alkali-resistant, high-temperature fiberglass paint, with a total thickness of at least 0.8mm.
  3. Construction Environment and Specifications
The construction temperature should be controlled between 535°C, with humidity ≤80%. Avoid rainy days or low-temperature, high-humidity environments to ensure proper curing of the epoxy resin. The overlap direction of the fiberglass cloth should align with the resin flow direction, with full application of adhesive between layers. Each layer should have an interval that meets the curing time (612 hours at room temperature).

  4. Special Protection
For complex shapes or highly corrosive areas, plastic wrapping or fiberglass lining techniques can be used to enhance protection.

Ordinary Material Mobile Toilets

  1. Dent Repair
If there are dents or deformations from impacts on the surface, first fill them with putty and sand them smooth after drying.

  2. Paint Mixing and Application

    • Color Matching: When mixing paint, strictly compare it with the original paint color to ensure a perfect touch-up effect.
    • Layered Application: For light-colored doors and furniture, apply the first coat in a lighter shade and gradually deepen it with the second and third coats. For dark-colored doors and furniture, the second coat should be lighter than the first, while for light-colored ones, it should be darker. After each coat, smooth it with a scraper, blow-dry, and repeat the operation.
    • Multiple Corrections: If the color is not satisfactory, continue applying a third or fourth coat until satisfied, then wipe off any excess paint from the surface.
  3. Protective Treatment
Finally, spray a protective or glossy finish to enhance the durability and gloss of the paint surface.
