How to Open Container House Locks

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The method for opening locks on container houses depends on the type of lock, and it is necessary to choose a legal and safe operation method according to the specific situation.

1. Normal Container Door Locks
These types of locks are usually equipped with dedicated keys, and only authorized personnel holding the corresponding keys can open them. If the key is lost, do not attempt to pry the lock or damage the lock yourself. Immediately contact the owner or manager of the container. The manager may use a spare key, contact the manufacturer to obtain the key code for re-manufacturing, or arrange for a professional locksmith to open the lock using non-destructive tools. For example, some container locks support querying the key shape in the manufacturer's database through a unique code, allowing for quick replication of a new key.

2. Forced Lock Opening in Special Circumstances
In cases involving customs inspections, emergency handling of goods (such as hazardous material leaks), or legally authorized searches, relevant departments can force open the lock in accordance with legal procedures. Such operations must be carried out by law enforcement personnel or professional agencies, using tools such as hydraulic shears or angle grinders to damage the lock, or operating through the emergency opening interface of the container security system (such as high-security locks conforming to the ISO 17712 standard). After forced lock opening, records must be kept, including the time, the personnel performing the operation, and the damage to the lock, for subsequent verification.

3. Unlocking Methods for Electronic Locks
Electronic locks require unlocking through passwords, fingerprints, Bluetooth devices, or remote control systems. Confirm permissions before operation:

  • Password Locks: Enter the preset password (some support temporary password generation);
  • Smart Locks: Send unlocking instructions through a mobile app or authorized device;
  • Remote Monitoring Locks: Require identity verification by the management platform before remote unlocking.
    If the electronic lock fails (such as battery depletion or system crash), operation can be restored through physical emergency interfaces (such as hidden USB ports or mechanical keyholes). The specific method should be referred to in the lock's instruction manual or by contacting the supplier.

Operating Principles
Regardless of the type of lock, unauthorized lock opening behavior may involve legal risks. Ordinary users should prioritize contacting the management or professional personnel; in emergency situations requiring forced lock opening, be sure to retain law enforcement documents or authorization certificates. Additionally, regularly checking the lock status and backing up keys or passwords can reduce operational risks.
