How to Clean Temporary Mobile Toilets
Quản trị 08 tháng 10, 2026
The cleaning of temporary mobile toilets requires selecting appropriate methods based on their type and usage scenario. The core steps include waste disposal, equipment cleaning, disinfection and deodorization, as well as storage and maintenance. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Cleaning Process for Outdoor Mobile Toilets
Immediate Handling After Use
- Immediately seal the dedicated garbage or collection bags tightly. If the design includes a lid, close it promptly to block odors.
- Key Point: Avoid exposing waste to prevent the spread of bacteria or odors.
Waste Disposal
- Portable Toilets/Collection Bags: Add a coagulant or deodorizer, then seal the bag and place it in a dedicated garbage bag for disposal. Never discharge directly into the natural environment.
- Biodegradable Systems: Separate liquids and dispose of them as required (e.g., pour into designated drainage outlets). Solids should be recycled by professional agencies.
- Special Scenarios: In wilderness areas without drainage facilities, prioritize the “pack-and-go” approach to minimize ecological pollution.
Equipment Cleaning
- Toilet Bowls/Inner Buckets: Wipe with a damp cloth and neutral cleaner. For stubborn stains, use a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar or a specialized stain remover.
- Electronic Components: Such as flushing mechanisms or sensors, should only be wiped with a damp cloth to avoid short circuits from direct rinsing.
- Folding Structures: Ensure joints are completely dry after cleaning to prevent rusting of metal parts or aging of plastic.
Storage and Inspection
- Foldable toilets should be locked according to the design, and packed toilets placed in dedicated storage bags to avoid damage from overloading.
- Regularly inspect structural stability, and repair loose screws or worn-out buckles promptly.
II. Cleaning Solutions for Temporary Toilets
Lime Powder Cleaning Method
- Evenly spread lime powder inside the pit and on the ground to absorb moisture and odors. Wait half an hour before cleaning waste, then sprinkle a small amount of lime powder to maintain hygiene.
- Applicable Scenarios: Traditional pit toilets without water supply. Note the amount of lime powder to avoid excessive dryness causing dust.
Eco-Friendly Cleaner Method
- Spray a natural plant-based cleaner to soak waste, wait 10 minutes before cleaning and rinsing thoroughly. Spray a small amount again to maintain effectiveness.
- Advantage: Reduces chemical residues, suitable for scenarios with high environmental protection requirements.
Deep Pit Excavation (Long-Term Solution)
- Dig a pit with a depth of ≥2 meters, lay a grid to reduce solid waste accumulation, cover with lime powder or wood chips to absorb odors, and conduct regular inspections and cleanings to prevent excessive waste buildup.
- Note: Keep away from water sources to prevent groundwater contamination.
III. Eight-Step Cleaning Method for Mobile Public Toilets
- Remove: Sweep dust and cobwebs from the ceiling, walls, window screens, and lighting fixtures.
- Wipe: Clean doors, windows, sinks, partition boards, and other easily accessible areas.
- Scrub: Thoroughly scrub scale from squat toilets, sit-down toilets, and urinals.
- Clear: Remove internal and external garbage and replace garbage bags.
- Mop: Remove standing water from the floor to prevent slipping.
- Inspect: Check faucets, sensors, and other equipment for proper functioning.
- Disinfect: Spray disinfectant at least three times daily and activate deodorization equipment.
- Store: Return tools to their designated places and ensure no debris is left behind.
Precautions: Wear a mask and gloves during cleaning to avoid inhaling pathogenic microorganisms. For outdoor toilets, prioritize the “pack-and-go” approach to reduce environmental impact.
