How to Arrange Mobile Toilets on Construction Sites
Quản trị 06 tháng 10, 2026
The arrangement of mobile toilets on construction sites requires consideration of pre-planning, on-site installation, and layout design. The specific key points are as follows:

I. Pre-planning Demand Assessment and Solution Design
- Headcount Estimation: Determine the number of toilet stalls based on the total number of construction workers on site, the project duration, and peak-hour traffic. It is recommended to allocate one standard toilet stall for every 50 people, with the male-to-female ratio adjusted according to actual needs (e.g., increasing female stalls if the proportion of women is high).
- Site Survey: Select a flat area with good drainage, preferably close to the construction concentration area but avoiding material transportation routes or work areas to prevent interference with construction efficiency. If there are high-temperature work areas on the site, communicate with the rental provider in advance to add cooling equipment (e.g., exhaust fans, sunshades).
- Customization for Special Needs: If barrier-free facilities (e.g., wheelchair ramps, handrails) are required, or if there are higher hygiene standards (e.g., separate sinks, wet-dry separation design), these should be specified during the solution design phase to allow the rental provider to offer customized solutions.
II. On-site Installation and Compliance Acceptance
- Basic Layout: After the mobile toilets arrive on site, place them according to the planned positions, ensuring that the spacing between toilet stalls is ≥0.5 meters to comply with fire safety regulations. If multi-unit container toilets are used, reserve maintenance space.
- Drainage System Connection: Handle waste through temporary sewage pipes or septic tanks to prevent sewage overflow. If there is no municipal sewage connection on the site, plan the septic tank capacity and cleaning cycle in advance.
- Acceptance Criteria: Check the completeness of toilet facilities (e.g., flush tanks, sinks, lighting), ventilation performance (whether exhaust fans are functioning properly), and clarity of signage (e.g., male/female toilets, barrier-free signs). Compliance with the 'Urban Environmental Sanitation Facilities Setting Standards' must be ensured, with no odors or standing water.
III. Layout Design References
- Container Mobile Toilets: Suitable for small to medium-sized construction sites, they can be designed as multi-unit bathrooms (e.g., a 4-unit bathroom with 2 toilet stalls + 2 shower stalls). Configuration Key Points: Install louvered vents on both sides and the toilet door for ventilation, lay anti-slip aluminum checkered plates on the floor, and reinforce the bottom structure with galvanized square tubes welded together; equip with direct-drain energy-saving flush tanks, sinks, exhaust fans, and energy-saving lighting, adopting a wet-dry separation design to enhance the user experience.
- 30-Square-Meter Large Mobile Toilets: Suitable for construction sites with high foot traffic, with an overall length of 10 meters and width of 3 meters, featuring a ridged roof for better drainage. Configuration Key Points: The exterior walls are made of thermal insulation metal carved panels with grille decorations, and the interior is equipped with multiple squat stalls (e.g., 6-8 stalls), with the option to add a separate management room for storing cleaning tools or supplies.
