How Does a Container House Use Electricity
Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026
The electricity usage of container houses mainly relies on external power supply access or internal self-contained power generation systems, meeting daily electricity demands through reasonable power distribution design.

1. External Power Supply Access
For fixed-use container houses, external power supply access is typically employed for electricity. The specific operations are as follows:
- Mains Power Access: The power from the municipal power grid is introduced into the container through cables, equipped with an AC power distribution unit that reasonably distributes the three-phase power to various electrical circuits, such as lighting, air conditioning, and sockets. The design of the power distribution box must consider the three-phase balance of the electrical load to ensure the stability of power supply and consumption.
- Cable Laying: Cables need to be laid from the external power source point to the power distribution box inside the container. During this process, attention should be paid to the selection of cable specifications, which should be determined based on the electrical load to avoid overheating due to overload. Additionally, cable laying should comply with electrical safety regulations to prevent mechanical damage and exposure to damp environments.
2. Internal Self-Contained Power Generation System
In scenarios where mains power is not available or a backup power source is required, container houses can be equipped with a self-contained power generation system:
- Generator Sets: Appropriate generator sets, such as diesel or gas generators, should be selected based on electricity demands. Generator sets should be installed inside the container or in a dedicated external machine room, equipped with soundproofing and dustproofing systems to reduce noise and prevent dust ingress.
- Fuel Tanks and Control Systems: Generator sets require fuel tanks to store fuel, with the tank capacity determined based on the generator's continuous operating time. Additionally, a control system should be installed to monitor the generator's operating status, such as voltage, current, and frequency, ensuring the stable operation of the power generation system.
3. Power Distribution System Design
Whether relying on external power supply access or internal self-contained power generation systems, the design of the power distribution system in container houses is crucial:
- Power Distribution Box and Circuit Allocation: The power distribution box should be installed in a location that facilitates operation and maintenance. Internal circuits should be reasonably allocated based on the type of electrical equipment, such as lighting circuits, socket circuits, and air conditioning circuits, to avoid interference between different types of loads.
- Grounding and Safety Protection: The power distribution system must be equipped with reliable grounding devices to ensure electrical safety. Additionally, leakage protectors and overload protectors should be installed to prevent electrical accidents.
