Home Toilet Relocation

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

If home toilet relocation refers to the relocation of the toilet bowl in the bathroom, the following three methods can be used to solve the sewage drainage problem:

Method 1: Use a Toilet Offset Connector

A toilet offset connector is a short pipe device that connects the toilet's drainage outlet to the original sewage pipe, enabling relocation by extending or adjusting the pipe position. Its core principle is to align the toilet's installation position with the original sewage outlet by changing the pipe's direction. Suitable scenarios include small-scale relocations (usually not exceeding 30 centimeters), such as minor adjustments to the toilet's position due to bathroom layout changes. Advantages include easy installation, low cost, and no need for extensive pipe renovations. Limitations include potential drainage issues if the relocation distance is too long, increased risk of blockages, and possible impacts on flushing performance. During installation, ensure a reasonable slope for the offset connector (recommended ≥2%) to prevent sewage backflow.

Method 2: Raise the Floor and Relay the Pipes

By raising the bathroom floor (usually by 10-15 centimeters), relay horizontal pipes from the original sewage pipe to the new position, and then connect to the toilet's drainage outlet. Suitable scenarios include larger-scale relocations (exceeding 30 centimeters) or situations where the original sewage pipe's position is restricted. Advantages include controllable pipe slopes, smoother drainage, and high long-term stability. Limitations include the need to damage the original floor, longer construction periods, and potential impacts on the bathroom's overall ceiling height due to floor raising, requiring consideration of配套 (supporting) renovations such as door frames and ceilings. During construction, strictly adhere to pipe slope standards (usually 1%-2%) and ensure proper waterproofing.

Method 3: Use a Wall-Hung Toilet

A wall-hung toilet has its drainage outlet on the wall, connected to the main riser via a horizontal sewage pipe, eliminating dependence on the floor's sewage outlet position. Suitable scenarios include flexible bathroom layout adjustments or situations where the original sewage outlet position is unsatisfactory. Advantages include high relocation flexibility, space savings on the floor, and ease of cleaning. Limitations include the need to embed a water tank and sewage pipe in the wall, higher construction complexity, and the need to damage the wall for later maintenance. During installation, ensure the wall is a load-bearing wall or reinforced if it is non-load-bearing, and reserve a maintenance access point.

If toilet relocation is to facilitate the elderly, pregnant women, or individuals with mobility issues, mobile toilet seats can be considered:

  • Yagao Toilet Seat: Supports folding and storage, suitable for multiple scenarios such as bedrooms and living rooms, easy to operate, and designed for general use.
  • Iris Squat-to-Sit Portable Toilet: Designed for convenience and stability, suitable for temporary use by pregnant women or the elderly, requiring no complex installation.
These products do not require bathroom structure renovations but need regular cleaning and disinfection to prevent bacterial growth.
