Gender-Separated Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 23 tháng 9, 2026

Mobile toilets are usually gender-separated and are widely used in public places such as parks, scenic spots, and construction sites.

In terms of structure: Mobile toilets with separate areas for men and women generally consist of two relatively independent spaces with clear dividing signs in the middle to facilitate quick identification by users. Each independent area is equipped with an appropriate number of toilet stalls according to actual needs. Some well-equipped mobile toilets also have sanitary facilities such as sinks and hand dryers to enhance the user experience.

In terms of functional design: It fully takes into account the usage habits and needs of different genders. The male area will reasonably set the quantity ratio of different types of urinals and squat toilets based on the fact that men use urinals more frequently. For example, in places with high foot traffic, the number of urinals may be appropriately increased to meet the fast usage needs of men. The female area, on the other hand, places more emphasis on privacy and comfort, usually with squat toilets as the main option. In the layout and spatial design of toilet stalls, it also fully considers the needs of women for placing items when using the toilet, such as setting up special shelves or hooks for women to place bags and clothing.

However, there are also special cases: For example, there was once a "tide toilet" in Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area. This type of toilet does not operate in a gender-separated mode all day long. It is only put into use during special periods of extremely high foot traffic such as the Spring Festival and lantern festivals, and maintains a fixed gender-separated state during normal times. The male and female signs at its entrance could be manually moved before, but have since been completely removed. This specially designed mobile toilet is mainly aimed at dealing with high foot traffic during specific periods. By flexibly adjusting the ratio of male and female toilet stalls, it improves the efficiency of toilet use and alleviates the problem of difficulty in finding a toilet.
