Ganzi has various types of prefabricated building components for housing, including prefabricated components for assembled buildings, heavy steel structure prefabricated components, and steel bar truss floor decking, and has achieved certain results in technological innovation and application promotion.

In terms of prefabricated components for assembled buildings, Ganzi Prefecture actively responds to the carbon peaking action in the field of urban and rural construction, releases relevant implementation plans, and vigorously promotes the development of assembled buildings. By accelerating the cultivation of assembled building enterprises, improving the versatility of prefabricated components and parts, and promoting standardized, less-specification, and multi-combination designs. Combining the pilot results of assembled light steel structure residential buildings in Daofu, Luhuo, Ganzi, and other places, the scope of use of assembled buildings is gradually expanded, with the goal of reaching 50% of the proportion of assembled buildings in newly built urban buildings by 2030, while encouraging the selection of assembled construction techniques that are in line with rural realities.

Heavy steel structure prefabricated components are widely used in the plateau areas of Ganzi. In response to the special environmental characteristics of plateau hypoxia and large temperature differences between day and night, a number of innovative technologies have been developed locally. Modular prefabricated components have been developed, which significantly reduce on-site operation time by 60%. The use of hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion coatings effectively extends the service life of steel to over 60 years. These technologies not only enhance the adaptability of heavy steel structures in plateau areas but also reduce application costs by 20% and shorten construction periods by 40%, providing more efficient and economical solutions for building construction in plateau areas.

Steel bar truss floor decking is also used in the field of building structures in Ganzi. It is a factory-prefabricated, standardized micro-space truss system composed of upper chord steel bars, lower chord steel bars, and web steel bars connecting the two. During the construction phase, when the concrete is not poured, the truss itself bears the weight of the wet concrete and construction loads; after the concrete is poured and hardened, the prefabricated steel bar truss is transformed into a 'professional formwork' and 'internal reinforcement of the floor slab'. Considering the special geographical and climatic conditions in Ganzi, with large temperature differences between day and night in high-altitude areas, which affect the control of early hydration heat of concrete and the distribution of later temperature stresses, the heat conduction and other properties of the steel bar truss as an internal framework need to be compatible to ensure the stability and durability of the building structure.
