Galvanized Steel Prefabricated Housing

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Galvanized steel prefabricated housing is a prefabricated building system with galvanized steel as its core material, with light steel villas being a typical representative, offering advantages such as excellent structural performance, high construction efficiency, and economic and environmental benefits.

Core Materials and Structural Characteristics

The main structure of galvanized steel prefabricated housing uses light steel studs cold-rolled from hot-dip galvanized aluminum steel strips. Its coating is a quaternary crystal formed from 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon at a high temperature of 600℃. This coating structure forms a dense anti-corrosion barrier, effectively isolating moisture and oxygen, significantly enhancing the corrosion resistance of the steel. The exterior wall system achieves thermal insulation through the filling of glass fiber wool, and is equipped with breathable membranes to regulate humidity, preventing condensation buildup. The outer layer is covered with OSB structural panels and waterproof breathable membranes, forming a multi-layer protective system to ensure the main structure is rust-resistant and aging-resistant.

Performance Advantages and Construction Efficiency

This type of housing adopts a factory-prefabricated component and on-site assembly process model, with standardized production of the foundation, wall, floor, and roof systems. It has a seismic performance of up to magnitude 9 and wind resistance of up to level 12, adaptable to complex geological and climatic conditions. The construction period is reduced by 50% compared to traditional brick-and-mortar structures, with material wastage rates dropping to 3%, and overall construction costs decreasing by 15%-20%, combining economic efficiency with environmental friendliness. The design service life is comparable to that of conventional buildings, with regularly produced light steel components undergoing high-strength galvanization treatment, supplemented by outer protective materials, to maintain long-term structural stability.

Application Scenarios and Policy Support

Galvanized steel prefabricated housing is widely used in rural residences, tourist resorts, overseas projects, and other scenarios, particularly suitable for areas with high demands for construction period and environmental protection. Its modular design supports personalized customization to meet different functional requirements. Currently, 28 provinces across the country have introduced subsidy policies for prefabricated buildings, promoting industry development and reducing user construction costs through financial incentives and floor area ratio concessions.

Durability and Maintenance Points

The durability of the housing relies on a multi-layer protective system: the galvanized layer provides basic rust protection, OSB panels and waterproof membranes block external erosion, and glass fiber wool maintains stable indoor temperature and humidity. Daily maintenance requires regular inspection of the outer waterproof materials to avoid mechanical damage causing coating breakage, while keeping the drainage system unobstructed to prevent water infiltration. Components produced by regular manufacturers usually come with quality warranties, further ensuring long-term safety in use.
