Firefighter Container House Design
Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026
The design of firefighter container houses should integrate functional requirements, structural safety, and environmental adaptability, with common design directions including residential renovation and modular functional integration.

I. Residential Design: Example of a Project in Colorado, USA
This project is assembled from nine containers, with a total floor area of 356.9 square meters. Key design features include:
- Structural Design: The main structure uses four stacked containers with cantilevered arrangements on both sides. On the second floor, seven containers form a U-shaped layout at a 90° angle. Large-scale facade cutouts introduce natural light, while a 7.6-meter-high ceiling paired with steel trusses balances industrial aesthetics with spatial openness.
- Spatial Layout: The functional areas are clearly divided, including seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, and an integrated living room, dining area, and open kitchen. The design of terraces and barbecue grills extends living scenarios to meet the residential needs of firefighter families.
- Materials and Workmanship: The main structure retains the container's cold-rolled steel plates, with interior decorations strictly adhering to flame-retardant standards. The flooring uses slip-resistant and wear-resistant materials, and the welding process meets industrial standards to ensure structural stability after multiple lifts.
II. Modular Functional Design: Oriented Toward Firefighting Needs
Based on usage scenarios, firefighting containers can be divided into four functional modules, with the following design focuses:
- Equipment Storage Type: Equipped with specialized racks and environmental control systems internally, it categorizes and stores firefighting suits, respirators, hoses, and other equipment. Fire-resistant coatings and rock wool insulation materials ensure equipment safety.
- Command and Dispatch Type: Integrates communication equipment, monitoring displays, and office areas, featuring waterproof sealed doors and windows and emergency power supplies to ensure stable operation of temporary command centers at disaster sites.
- Medical Rescue Type: Equipped with basic first aid supplies and treatment spaces, interior decorative materials comply with flame-retardant standards. The door and window systems balance airtightness with rapid passage requirements, providing initial medical support for lightly injured personnel.
- Training Simulation Type: Features adjustable obstacle structures and simulated fire sources, with spatial layouts optimized through ergonomics to maximize training functionality within a limited area.
III. Technological Innovation and Universal Design Standards
- Structural Safety: Reinforced steel and fire-resistant coatings enhance fire resistance, while industrial-grade welding processes ensure structural integrity after multiple transports.
- Environmental Adaptability: Temperature regulation systems and waterproof sealed designs ensure normal operation in extreme climates, with emergency power supplies supporting basic functions during power outages.
- Smart Integration: Environmental monitoring sensors provide real-time feedback on internal temperature, humidity, and air quality parameters, while equipment self-check systems alert to structural or equipment abnormalities, improving operational efficiency.
