Finished Prefabricated House Roof

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

The finished prefabricated house roof, also known as the prefabricated panel roof, is a roofing form made primarily of concrete, prefabricated in factories and assembled on-site.

Brands and Materials

There are numerous brands of prefabricated panel roofs, including Shenbo, Yongshi, Hengxinrui, Qiyuan Energy Saving, Guomu, Hengdao Zhongyuan, etc.. The materials used are similar to those of cast-in-place roofs, mainly including coiled rods (small-diameter steel bars or cold-drawn wires), rice stones (small pebbles), sand, and cement, but with smaller raw material specifications to meet the needs of the prefabrication process.

Production and Installation Characteristics

Prefabricated panel roofs adopt a factory-based production model, where concrete panels are first made in factories and then transported to construction sites for assembly. The installation efficiency is high, usually taking only half a day to complete, with a quick and convenient lifting process. This standardized process shortens the construction period and reduces the complexity of on-site operations.

Advantages and Disadvantages Analysis

Advantages:

  • Low Cost: Taking a certain region as an example, the all-inclusive installation cost of a prefabricated panel roof is approximately 20,000 yuan, saving 25,000 to 30,000 yuan compared to a cast-in-place roof, demonstrating significant economic efficiency.
  • Controllable Quality and Dimensions: The stable factory production environment, strict material ratios, and process flows ensure precise product dimensions and uniform quality.

Disadvantages:

  • Limited Style Options: There are limited choices in color and shape, making it difficult to meet personalized design needs.
  • Weak Wind and Earthquake Resistance: The overall structural integrity is not as good as that of cast-in-place roofs, resulting in a lower safety factor under earthquake or strong wind conditions.

Service Life and Application Scenarios

Prefabricated panel roofs do not have a fixed service life, and their longevity is significantly affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes and foundation settlement. If no major disasters occur and the house structure remains stable, they can be used for a long time. In terms of applications, they still have a certain market in rural self-built houses: some houses adopt a hybrid structure of "lower prefabricated panels + upper cast-in-place roof" to balance cost and safety; cases where prefabricated panels are used exclusively are relatively rare. Additionally, in arid regions such as the Middle East and Africa, the prefabricated hollow brick assembly floor roofing process is popular, where hollow bricks are laid on steel frames for rapid forming without the need for concrete pouring or mortar application, adapting to local climate and construction conditions.
