European-style Prefabricated Building Components

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Common types of European-style prefabricated building components include GRC components, EPS moldings, and GRG components, with their characteristics and applications as follows:

GRC Components (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete Prefabricated Components)
GRC components are composite structures consisting of a structural layer and a decorative layer, with glass fibers and cement matrix as the core materials. Their characteristics include lightweight and high strength (density only 1/4 to 1/3 of traditional concrete, flexural strength up to 15-25 MPa), excellent weather resistance (withstanding temperature differences from -20°C to 80°C, resistant to UV aging), and fire and moisture resistance (combustion performance reaching Class A1, water absorption rate below 10%). Typical application scenarios include exterior building facades, such as European-style window surrounds, eaves, and column decorations, as well as interior ceiling and wall decorations. The installation process primarily uses the dry-hanging method, connecting the components to the substrate through metal hangers to ensure structural safety and decorative layer flatness. For example, the widened GRC European-style window surround moldings produced by Guangdong Huatong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. have a price range of 20-280 yuan per meter, depending on size and造型 complexity (design complexity).

EPS Moldings (Polystyrene Foam Decorative Moldings)
EPS moldings use flame-retardant polystyrene boards as the base material, covered with alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh and polymer mortar, forming a lightweight decorative material with fire resistance Class B1 (some products can reach Class A). Their core advantages include easy installation (weight only 1/10 of GRC, can be directly fixed to the wall with special adhesive mortar), high cost-effectiveness (overall cost 30%-50% lower than GRC), and strong durability (withstanding 50 freeze-thaw cycles without damage, service life exceeding 20 years). They are mainly used as decorative moldings for exterior wall insulation systems (such as EPS/XPS insulation board walls), replacing traditional GRC and plaster moldings, and solving the issues of easy cracking and poor water resistance of the latter.

GRG Components (Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum Prefabricated Components)
GRG components use modified semi-hydrated gypsum as the base material, reinforced with short-cut glass fibers (content 3%-5%), featuring high plasticity (capable of achieving complex curved surfaces and fine textures) and rapid molding (demolding within 24 hours at room temperature). Their density is 1.5-1.8 g/cm³, with a flexural strength of 10-15 MPa, suitable for European-style decorative applications in interior ceilings, walls, and partitions, such as domes, reliefs, and Roman columns. Installation also uses the dry-hanging method, fixed with galvanized angle steel or aluminum alloy keels to ensure造型 stability (design stability). GRG European-style components produced in Fujian can accurately reproduce the three-dimensional forms of Baroque and Rococo styles through digital mold technology, adding artistic tension to architectural spaces.

The selection of these three types of components requires comprehensive consideration of usage environment (indoor/outdoor), design complexity, cost budget, and fire resistance requirements to achieve a balance between functionality and aesthetics.
