Essential Items for Container Houses

Quản trị 14 tháng 9, 2026

Essential items for container houses mainly cover three categories: structural materials, functional materials, and supporting facilities. Details are as follows:

Structural Materials

Container houses use standard shipping containers as the main structure, with common sizes being 20-foot and 40-foot containers. In some customized scenarios, open-top containers or containers of special sizes may be used. The framework requires a large amount of steel, including angle steel, channel steel, and pipes, to construct the house's skeleton and support structure. For example, the base of a container is usually welded from channel steel, and the combination of horizontal and vertical channel steel columns can withstand significant pressure, ensuring the stability of the house.

Functional Materials

  1. Thermal Insulation Materials: Steel structures are prone to deformation under extreme temperatures and need to be filled with materials such as polyurethane foam, rock wool, glass wool, or EPS (expanded polystyrene) to maintain stable indoor temperatures. Among them, rock wool panels offer the best performance, with a thickness of about 600mm and an outer iron covering. They combine Class A fire resistance, moisture and corrosion resistance, and sound and thermal insulation, but are relatively expensive.
  2. Interior and Exterior Wall Panels: For interior decoration, materials such as color-coated steel sheets, calcium silicate boards, cement fiber boards, or wood are commonly used, while the exterior requires waterproof and weather-resistant panels, such as galvanized steel sheets or aluminum-plastic composite panels.
  3. Door and Window Systems: Aluminum alloy doors, sliding windows, or skylights need to be installed to ensure ventilation and lighting. In some scenarios, security doors or soundproof windows may be used to enhance safety and comfort.

Supporting Facilities

  1. Electrical System: This includes wires, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, and distribution boxes, which must comply with safety regulations. Some container houses may also be equipped with solar panels or backup generators.
  2. Water Supply and Drainage System: Water pipes, faucets, drainage pipes, and sewage treatment devices (such as septic tanks) need to be configured to ensure convenient water use and environmental protection.
  3. Flooring Materials: Commonly used materials include moisture-proof flooring, tiles, or composite wood flooring, while some temporary houses may directly use steel plate flooring.
  4. Safety Facilities: Such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc. In some scenarios, security nets or surveillance systems may need to be installed.
  5. Living Facilities: Depending on the purpose, these may include furniture and appliances such as beds, tables and chairs, air conditioners, and water heaters, as well as simple kitchen or bathroom equipment.
