How to Flush Environmental Portable Toilets

Quản trị 10 tháng 10, 2026

The flushing methods for environmental portable toilets vary based on different technological types, primarily falling into the following modes:

1. Water-flushing Solution: Dependent on External Water Supply and Water-saving Technologies

Water-flushing environmental portable toilets require connection to water supply and drainage pipes, utilizing municipal water or external water sources for flushing. Their core water-saving technologies include rainwater collection and filtration systems and secondary use of hand-washing water for flushing. The former collects rainwater through rooftops or collection devices, filters it through multiple layers, and stores it in tanks for flushing. The latter directs wastewater from hand-washing basins into the flushing system, reducing freshwater usage. These toilets are suitable for scenarios with stable water supply conditions, such as city parks and temporary event venues, but require regular maintenance of pipes and filtration devices to prevent blockages or water contamination.

2. Intelligent Water-saving Ecological Toilets: Recycling of Urine and Wastewater

This type of toilet achieves efficient flushing by automatically collecting urine and hand-washing water and adding water-saving special agents. Its working principle involves concentrating and storing urine and hand-washing wastewater, adding biodegradable agents, and decomposing organic matter through chemical reactions while suppressing odors. The treated liquid can be directly used for flushing, with each flush requiring only about 0.46 liters of water, saving over 80% compared to traditional toilets. These toilets do not require an external water source, making them suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary emergency use, but require regular replenishment of water-saving agents and cleaning of storage tanks.

3. Recirculating Water-flushing Mobile Public Toilets: Biological Treatment for Water Recycling

Recirculating water-flushing toilets are equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices, accelerating fecal decomposition by adding biological strains and biofilm technology. After feces and flushing water enter the treatment system, they first undergo anaerobic fermentation to decompose large organic molecules, followed by further mineralization by aerobic bacteria, ultimately producing harmless water quality. The treated water is disinfected and filtered before being recycled for flushing, forming a closed-loop system. These toilets have a single treatment cycle of approximately 24-48 hours, suitable for high-traffic scenarios such as scenic spots and transportation hubs, but require regular water quality testing and strain replenishment.

4. Built-in Water Tank Toilets: Flexible Adaptation to Rainwater or Manual Water Supply

Some environmental portable toilets are equipped with adjustable nozzle water tanks, achieving flushing through manual water filling or solar-powered rainwater collection. The water tank capacity typically ranges from 100 to 500 liters, with nozzles capable of 360-degree rotation to cover the entire toilet bowl and featuring self-cleaning functions to prevent residue. Solar water collection devices heat air through collector plates, promoting water evaporation and condensation within the tank for rainwater purification. These toilets are suitable for remote areas without water supply but require regular inspection of tank sealing to prevent evaporation or leakage.
