Energy Consumption Inside Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 06 tháng 10, 2026

The internal energy consumption of mobile toilets varies significantly depending on their type and functionality, which can be categorized into the following scenarios:

  1. Water-saving flush toilets This type of toilet reduces water consumption by optimizing the flushing system, with energy consumption primarily used for water pumps or control devices. Its power consumption is approximately ≤1 kWh per 1000 uses, or 0.001 kWh per use. This value is relatively low among mobile toilets, making it suitable for high-frequency usage scenarios.

  2. Energy-saving/standard mobile toilets These toilets primarily offer basic functions, with energy consumption directly related to the number of toilet stalls. The rated power per stall is typically ≤5 W. Assuming 10 hours of daily use, the daily energy consumption per stall is approximately 0.5 kWh per stall per day. If anti-freezing functions (such as heating devices) need to be activated in winter, energy consumption may increase to 1.5 kWh per stall per day, mainly due to extended device operation time or increased power in low-temperature environments.

  3. Waterless/microbial toilets This type relies on microorganisms to decompose waste, with energy primarily used for fans (to maintain ventilation) and control systems. Taking the SMD-D-30 model as an example, its nominal daily energy consumption is <8 kWh per day. Assuming 80-100 uses per day, the energy consumption per use is approximately <0.1 to 0.2 kWh per use. Since these toilets do not require flushing, energy consumption is concentrated on maintaining the microbial environment, making them suitable for water-scarce areas or scenarios with high environmental protection requirements.

  4. Water-saving mobile public toilets (such as foam-sealing types) Foam-sealing technology reduces odors by covering waste with foam, with energy consumption primarily used for foam generation devices and a small amount of lighting. Its monthly energy consumption is ≤2 kWh, with an annual electricity cost of approximately 20 yuan, translating to a daily energy consumption of approximately 0.067 kWh per day, making it an extremely low-energy consumption type.

  5. Other types of mobile toilets Some mobile toilets, equipped with additional functions (such as air conditioning, heating, automatic disinfection, etc.), may consume more than 8 kWh per day. These toilets are mostly used in high-end scenarios or extreme climate regions, with energy consumption closely related to device power and usage duration.

Summary: The energy consumption of mobile toilets ranges widely, from 0.001 kWh per use to over 8 kWh per day. When selecting a mobile toilet, it is essential to consider the usage scenario, climatic conditions, and functional requirements for a comprehensive assessment.
