House Structure with Diamond Prefabricated Panels

Quản trị 19 tháng 9, 2026

"Diamond prefabricated panels" is not a common term in the construction field, but the structural characteristics of prefabricated panel houses can be summarized as follows:

The core feature of prefabricated panel houses lies in the use of prefabricated concrete panels for their floor slabs. These panels are produced in a factory in a standardized manner and then transported to the site for installation, offering advantages such as high construction efficiency and controllable costs. Their structural forms mainly fall into two categories:

1. Application of prefabricated panels in brick-concrete structures
This type of structure is commonly seen in rural self-built houses. The walls are constructed using bricks (such as fired common bricks and perforated bricks), and the prefabricated panels serve as floor slabs, together with the brick walls forming a load-bearing system. The brick walls bear vertical loads and some horizontal loads, while the prefabricated panels transfer the loads to the foundation through supports (such as brick walls or concrete beams). In such structures, the thickness of the prefabricated panels is usually 120 - 150mm, and the span can reach 3 - 6 meters depending on the design requirements. Attention should be paid to the treatment of panel joints to prevent leakage.

2. Prefabricated panel system in light frame structures
Some prefabricated panel houses use a combination of lightweight aggregate concrete beams and prefabricated panels, such as prefabricated lightweight perforated bricks or aerated concrete panels. These panels have a low density (usually ≤ 800kg/m³), and their self-weight is 30% - 50% lighter than that of traditional concrete panels, making them suitable for large-span or load-sensitive scenarios. The panels are connected by steel bars or special anchors to form an overall load-bearing structure, and structural columns and ring beams are required to enhance the overall integrity.

Key concepts to clarify:

  • Brick-concrete structure ≠ prefabricated panel structure: The former refers to a load-bearing system mainly composed of brick walls, while the latter only describes the floor slab construction method. In modern construction, prefabricated panels can also be used in frame structures (such as prefabricated concrete frames), where the floor slab loads are transferred to the columns through beams, and the walls only serve as enclosures.
  • Structural safety: Prefabricated panel houses must strictly follow design specifications, such as the length of the panel end supports and the configuration of steel bars in panel joints. Improper construction (such as inadequate concrete pouring at the supports) may lead to cracking at the panel ends or local collapses.

Summary: The structural form of prefabricated panel houses depends on the wall materials and the design of the load-bearing system. Their core advantage lies in the efficiency improvement brought about by industrial production, but structural safety must be ensured through standardized construction and structural measures.
