Container to House Construction Plan

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The container-to-house construction plan typically covers project overview, construction preparation, main construction procedures, and techniques. Here are the specific details:

Project Overview It is necessary to clarify the renovation objectives, such as creating office, residential, or mixed-function spaces. For example, Plan 1 involves renovating 12 standard shipping containers (6058mm×2438mm×2591mm) with a total building area of 176㎡. The layout adopts a double-stack arrangement, with the bottom layer arranged horizontally and the top layer staggered to form a terrace. Plan 3, on the other hand, constructs temporary facilities using modular container combinations, including office and dormitory areas, with a total height controlled within 9.6 meters, a design service life of 5 years, a seismic fortification intensity of 7 degrees, and a fire resistance rating of Class II.

Construction Preparation

  1. Technical Preparation: Organize a joint review of the drawings by the design, construction, and supervision teams. Deepen the design for key nodes such as structural reinforcement, pipeline layout, and door and window openings, and issue detailed construction drawings for these nodes. The technical leader shall provide hierarchical briefings to the construction teams, clarifying processes, quality standards, and safety considerations. Conduct advance sampling inspections of steel and insulation materials to ensure compliance.
  2. Personnel Preparation: Form a professional team, such as the one in Plan 1, which includes structural engineers, electrical and water engineers, and skilled workers. All personnel must be certified and receive safety training.
  3. Material Preparation: Purchase materials such as Q235B structural steel, polyurethane insulation panels, and thermal-break aluminum windows and doors. Store them in categories and take moisture-proof and fire-proof measures. Prepare equipment such as plasma cutters and MIG welders, and conduct advance debugging and maintenance.
  4. Site Preparation: Set up temporary office areas, material warehouses, and processing sheds, and establish storage points for firefighting equipment. Harden the ground in the container placement area, such as laying a 150mm thick C20 concrete cushion in Plan 1, to ensure a ground bearing capacity of no less than 10t/㎡.

Main Construction Procedures and Techniques

  1. Foundation Construction: Select a firm, level ground with good drainage. Clear obstacles and excavate foundation pits. Bind reinforcing bars and pour concrete (e.g., reinforced concrete foundation in Plan 2). Apply polymer waterproof coating for foundation waterproofing.
  2. Container Arrival and Inspection: Transport using flatbed trailers and secure with special fixtures to prevent shifting. Inspect the appearance, dimensions, and structural integrity, focusing on welds, steel plate corrosion, and corner fitting damage.
  3. Structural Renovation: Mark door and window positions according to the drawings and ensure positioning accuracy with a total station, with a deviation of no more than 5mm. Cut door and window openings using a plasma cutter with cooling water. Weld 50×50×5mm angle steel frames and fully weld them to the container steel plates.
  4. Installation and Assembly: Lift containers according to their numbers and assembly sequence. Check the matching of foundation embedded parts with the container bottom corner fitting holes. Secure the container connections with bolts or welding to ensure structural stability.
