Container-style Outdoor House

Quản trị 14 tháng 9, 2026

Container-style outdoor houses are modular buildings transformed from shipping containers, featuring dismountable and relocatable capabilities, reusability, and low-carbon environmental protection. They are widely used in scenarios such as engineering camps, cultural and tourism accommodations, and emergency support.

I. Structural Types and Performance Characteristics

Container-style outdoor houses are mainly divided into two categories: welded integral boxes and bolt-connected assembled boxes:

  • Welded Integral Boxes: These are welded into shape as a whole in the factory, with strong resistance to structural deformation, making them suitable for frequent lifting and relocation. Their load paths are direct, with roof loads transferred through sidewall columns to the bottom beams and then evenly distributed to the ground, ensuring high overall stability.
  • Bolt-connected Assembled Boxes: These use standard panels connected by bolts, with multiple load-bearing nodes in the load paths. The tightness of these nodes directly affects overall stability. When purchasing, it is necessary to check the steel wall thickness of the columns and bottom beams (common specifications range from 1.5 mm to 3 mm). Thicker walls provide greater load-bearing redundancy but also increase the self-weight.

II. Core Advantages

  • Reusability and Low-carbon Environmental Protection: They support multiple dismounting and reassembly cycles, with compliant products from leading manufacturers averaging over 8 reuse cycles. Compared to traditional fixed temporary buildings, they reduce construction waste emissions by approximately 90% and offer higher resource utilization rates.
  • Cross-scenario Versatility: Through modular assembly, customized exterior facades, and internal functional modifications, they can be adapted to diverse scenarios such as engineering camps, mobile commerce, cultural and tourism accommodations, and emergency support.
  • Rapid Deployment and Low-cost Relocation: On-site installation only requires lifting and joint treatment, reducing construction errors from the centimeter level to the millimeter level. The cost of a single lifting and transportation is approximately 15 to 25 yuan per kilometer. After arriving at a new site, they only require connection to water and electricity for immediate use.

III. Key Technical Aspects

  • Ground Treatment: It is necessary to remove floating soil and debris from the ground and compact the original soil layer. For long-term fixed use of the container, a concrete strip foundation should be poured (with a recommended width of 30 cm to 50 cm and a depth determined by the local frost depth) to provide a uniform load-bearing foundation.
  • Thermal Performance Compensation: Due to the high thermal conductivity of metal containers, a three-layer structure (outer layer of galvanized steel, middle layer of rock wool insulation, and inner layer of PVC-coated steel plate) is used. Some companies also add an elevated layer at the bottom of the container to block ground cold bridge conduction, reducing indoor temperature fluctuations by approximately 40% compared to traditional color steel plate houses.
  • Structural Stability Optimization: To address the fatigue and wear of connecting bolts after multiple dismounting and reassembly cycles, it is necessary to control the number of dismounting and reassembly cycles (the risk of structural deformation increases by approximately 15% after more than 5 cycles) and conduct regular inspections and maintenance.
