Container Mobile House Sales

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The sales of container mobile houses are currently showing a diversified and continuously growing trend, with strong demand especially in overseas markets, specific industries, and emerging application scenarios.

I. Overseas Markets Become the Main Growth Point
According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in the first half of 2026, the total export value of prefabricated buildings under HS code 9406 in China reached $2.79 billion, a year-on-year increase of 45%, with steel-structured modular houses being the main category. In the first four months, the value of exported mobile houses at Shenzhen ports reached 1.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%, with products sold to more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. This indicates that container mobile houses have significant competitiveness in the international market, especially in developing countries and emerging markets, where they are widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors due to their high cost-effectiveness, short construction periods, and recyclability.

II. Demand in Specific Industries Continues to Expand
Buyers in sectors such as engineering camps, cultural tourism, and emergency response have shown a significant increase in interest in container mobile houses. For example, the modular hotel project by China Construction Science & Engineering Corporation in Papua New Guinea had a total construction period of only 7 months, more than half shorter than traditional construction methods; a British merchant purchased Chinese-made modular elderly care apartments, with on-site hoisting and construction taking only two weeks. Additionally, the explosion in AI computing infrastructure has driven demand for modular buildings for data centers, with CIMC's modular data center business revenue increasing more than fivefold year-on-year in the first half, highlighting the application potential of container mobile houses in high-tech sectors.

III. Emerging Application Scenarios Continue to Emerge
Container mobile houses, with their flexibility, mobility, and low-carbon attributes, are gradually penetrating into more niche markets. For example, in scenarios such as mobile commerce, cultural tourism accommodation, and emergency response, there is an increasing demand for customized products, with technologies such as modular assembly, personalized facade design, and internal functional renovations becoming industry trends. At the same time, full-lifecycle low-carbon recycling has become an important development direction, with leading compliant products capable of being disassembled and reused an average of more than 8 times, reducing construction waste emissions by about 90%, aligning with domestic policies on circular economy and green construction.

IV. Domestic Market Potential Gradually Unleashed
Although exports dominate, demand for container mobile houses in the domestic market is also growing. For example, companies in Beijing, Xi'an, and other cities offer services including design, manufacturing, leasing, and sales of container houses, with products widely used in construction sites, municipal engineering, railways, highways, and other fields. Additionally, the recycling of second-hand container mobile houses has further reduced costs and increased market acceptance.
