Container Mobile House Roof Making

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

The making of container mobile house roofs requires a combination of structural types, material selection, and construction techniques, with core steps including design planning, material preparation, frame construction, panel installation, and waterproofing treatment. The following elaborates on the key points of making different types of roofs:

I. Flat and Sloped Roof Making

Conventional container houses often adopt flat or sloped roof designs. During construction, it is necessary to first weld the steel skeleton chassis and roof ring beams. For example, use 5×5×2.0mm square steel to fully weld and form a four-sided frame for the roof to ensure structural stability. The roof panels are usually selected from 50mm thick double-sided white purification panels or color-steel sandwich panels, which are fixed to the frame with self-tapping screws. A gap of 3-5mm should be reserved at the joints and filled with sealant to prevent rainwater leakage. If a sloped roof is required, the slope can be formed by adjusting the height of the top crossbeams of the container or by adding triangular steel trusses to the frame to support the sloped panels.

II. Arch Roof Making

Constructing an arch roof on two containers involves six steps:

  1. Precise Measurement: Determine the container spacing, load-bearing capacity, and roof curvature parameters;
  2. Material Selection: Commonly use steel or aluminum alloy brackets, paired with waterproof fabric or metal panels;
  3. Support Structure: Install curved steel frames on the top of the containers, with a spacing not exceeding 1.2 meters, and add transverse reinforcement beams;
  4. Panel Installation: Fix the cut panels one by one to the brackets, and use glass curtain wall waterproofing adhesive to seal the gaps;
  5. Beautification and Reinforcement: Spray anti-rust paint and install decorative lights or green plants;
  6. Regular Maintenance: Check the connection parts of the brackets for looseness every six months and replace aging sealing materials in a timely manner.

III. Special Roof Types

  • Mobile Sunroom: Uses aviation-grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy frames, paired with German Bayer PC panels (with a light transmittance of 82%). It achieves manual or electric opening and closing through a sliding rail system, with an opening area of up to 60%.
  • Metal Arch Roofing: Features a span of 6-42 meters without support design. The roof integrates insulation, heat insulation, and ventilation functions, with a construction period of only 20 days per 10,000 square meters, suitable for temporary offices or commercial spaces.

IV. Key Process Points

  • Waterproofing Treatment: The joints of the roof panels and the connection between the roof and the container should be coated with glass curtain wall waterproofing adhesive, with a thickness of not less than 2mm and a lifespan of 5-6 years;
  • Load-Bearing Design: The roof load should be transferred to the bottom beams through the side wall columns. Welded containers have better deformation resistance than bolt-connected ones;
  • Material Specifications: It is recommended that the wall thickness of the columns and bottom beams be 1.5-3mm, and the thickness of the color-steel tiles should be ≥0.5mm to withstand wind and snow loads.
