Moisture Return in Container Mobile Houses
Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026
Moisture return in container mobile houses is mainly related to container rain, material moisture content, packaging moisture absorption, container damage, and air humidity. It can be prevented through measures such as drying treatment, sealed packaging, moisture-proof inspection, and the use of desiccants.

Causes of Moisture Return
- Container Rain Phenomenon: Containers are mostly made of metal, which has strong thermal conductivity, causing the internal temperature to change with the external environment. During maritime transportation, there is a large temperature difference between day and night. During the day, seawater evaporation increases the humidity in the air, and at night, when the temperature drops, water vapor condenses into water droplets on the inner walls of the container, forming 'container rain' and leading to moisture return.
- Moisture Content in the Goods Themselves: The goods themselves (such as textiles) may have a high moisture content, or the outer packaging materials (such as cardboard boxes and wooden pallets) may be humidity-sensitive items that easily absorb or carry moisture under normal storage conditions, indirectly causing internal moisture return.
- Container Damage: During circulation and use, containers may suffer from body damage (such as cracks and holes), allowing external moisture and rainwater to directly seep into the container and trigger moisture return.
- Loading and Unloading Goods in High Humidity: Goods are easily directly soaked by rainwater or their surfaces absorb moisture due to high environmental humidity.
Preventive Measures
- Drying Treatment of Goods: Before loading into the container, check the moisture content of the goods. If necessary, dry or air-dry them to prevent the goods themselves from releasing moisture.
- Sealed Moisture-Proof Packaging: Seal the goods with waterproof plastic bags, aluminum foil film, or vacuum packaging to isolate external moisture.
- Moisture-Proof Inspection Inside the Container: Before loading, check whether the container is dry and clean. If there are water stains or rust, thoroughly wipe them and ventilate to dry. Ensure that the door seals are intact and undamaged, and that there are no gaps in the door seams and vents to prevent external rainwater and moisture from seeping in.
- Use of Desiccants: Hang container desiccant strips on the side walls of the container to absorb moisture from the air and reduce humidity.
- Reasonable Stacking of Goods: Goods should be neatly stacked inside the container, avoiding gaps and excessive stacking to prevent movement and collision during transportation. At the same time, ensure stable stacking, taking into account ventilation and drainage to maintain air circulation and avoid water accumulation and moisture.
