Dimensions of Container Mobile Houses
Container mobile houses come in a variety of dimensions, with common specifications including international standard dimensions, commonly used dimensions in practical applications, and customizable dimensions, as detailed below:

International standard dimensions mainly fall into three types. The 20-foot standard container (20GP) has external dimensions of 6.058 meters (length) × 2.438 meters (width) × 2.591 meters (height), with internal dimensions of 5.898 meters × 2.352 meters × 2.393 meters, and a volume of approximately 33 cubic meters. The 40-foot standard container (40GP) has external dimensions of 12.192 meters × 2.438 meters × 2.591 meters, with internal dimensions of 12.032 meters × 2.352 meters × 2.393 meters, and a volume of approximately 67 cubic meters. The 40-foot high cube container (40HC/HQ) has external dimensions of 12.192 meters × 2.438 meters × 2.896 meters, with internal dimensions of 12.032 meters × 2.352 meters × 2.698 meters, and a volume of approximately 76 cubic meters. These standard dimensions are based on international maritime container specifications, offering global compatibility for easy transportation and stacking.
In practical applications, container houses have evolved into various commonly used dimensions to meet different scenario requirements. For example, a 3m × 6m × 2.8m specification offers a moderate area and reasonable height, allowing for space expansion through vertical or horizontal stacking. A 7m long and 3m wide special dimension is often used in temporary office areas or scenic spot homestays. The commonly used dimension in domestic construction sites is approximately 6m long, 3m wide, and 2.8m high, providing a more spacious interior suitable for long-term residence. These dimensions retain the structural advantages of containers while emphasizing functionality and comfort.
Customizable dimensions can be flexibly adjusted according to specific needs. The height can be increased to 2.7 meters or even higher to meet the needs of large spaces such as gymnasiums or churches. The width can be extended up to 3.5 meters, beyond which transportation convenience may be affected. The length can be adjusted within the range of 4 meters to 10 meters, such as combinations of 3m × 6m or 4m × 8m. The foldable model has a collapsed height of only 2.5 meters and can expand to a width of 6.3 meters, making it particularly suitable for temporary events or rapid deployment scenarios. When customizing dimensions, it is essential to consider structural strength, transportation limitations, and usage functions to ensure a balance between safety and practicality.
