Caulking for Container Mobile Houses

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Caulking for container mobile houses is mainly used to enhance the sealing of the joints, preventing water leakage and rain infiltration. Some houses with special designs do not require caulking to achieve sealing.

The Role of Caulking

Caulking at the joints of container mobile houses primarily aims to enhance sealing and prevent the infiltration of rainwater, air, etc., into the interior of the house. For example, Shandong Yunsen Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. applies caulking treatment to the joints during the production of space capsules and adopts an overall welded frame to reduce the risk of leakage. During the use of containers, gaps are prone to appear at the welds due to thermal expansion and contraction, vibration, etc., leading to water infiltration. Caulking can effectively fill these gaps and improve the waterproof performance of the house.

Material Selection for Caulking

The materials used for caulking container mobile houses need to have good adhesion, flexibility, and weather resistance. For example, Jitai 123 neoprene container-specific waterproof caulking sealant is based on neoprene rubber. It is inherently compatible with iron, aluminum, and galvanized sheets, eliminating the need for a primer. It can adhere firmly even if the welding slag is not completely cleaned. It dries quickly without sagging, whether applied vertically or upside down. It remains elastic from -20°C to 80°C, not cracking in winter and not becoming sticky in summer, effectively solving the problem of water leakage at container welds.

Cases Where Some Houses Do Not Require Caulking

Some container mobile houses with special designs can achieve good sealing performance without caulking. For example, the foldable container houses produced by Shandong Jiaxin Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. have their entire frame profiles formed in one piece by large-scale high-frequency welding equipment. All joints adopt a stepped interlocking design, providing good sealing, wind resistance, and rain leakage prevention. The folding parts feature a扣槽式 (slot-buckling) design for seamless splicing, and the container body does not require caulking to achieve wind and rain resistance. The foldable houses of Anhui Easy-Fold Integrated Housing adopt 2.0-thick galvanized steel sheets combined with a nine-step pressing process. The上下扣槽式 (top-and-bottom slot-buckling) design achieves seamless splicing at the folding parts, and the entire container body does not require caulking, with structural strength and sealing far exceeding industry standards.
