Container Mobile House and Aviation Capsule

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

There are fundamental differences between container mobile houses and aviation capsules (space capsules) in many aspects.

Structural Principles: Space capsules are human-centered prefabricated residential products. Their structural design follows civil building standards, employing an overall closed-loop keel system and a curved surface integral forming structure. This ensures uniform force distribution and strong stability, enabling them to withstand winds of up to 12 levels and earthquakes of up to 8 levels, with structural safety far exceeding that of ordinary container houses. In contrast, ordinary container houses are welded with integral square tube frames, offering better structural integrity than color steel plate houses and possessing certain wind and earthquake resistance. However, containers were originally designed as “cargo transport carriers,” with structural designs prioritizing load-bearing and transportation needs, without considering residential comfort.

Material and Craftsmanship: Space capsules utilize a multi-layer composite enclosure structure that balances structural strength, thermal insulation, waterproofing, sound insulation, and corrosion resistance. The hot-dip galvanized steel frame has a rust-proof lifespan of up to 50 years, while the aviation aluminum shell, combined with anodizing and fluorocarbon processes, offers an outdoor weather resistance lifespan of 30 to 50 years. Even in harsh environments like seashores, plateaus, and severe cold, they can maintain long-term structural stability and intact appearance. Container walls, on the other hand, are hollow single-layer structures with crude thermal insulation, sealing, and waterproofing techniques, leading to severe issues such as cold in winter and heat in summer, poor sound insulation, easy condensation, and rusting.

Safety Performance and Service Life: Space capsules have high structural safety and a service life 3 to 5 times longer than that of containers. Ordinary container houses typically have an outdoor service life of 8 to 10 years, with severe corrosion occurring in just 3 to 5 years in high-salt mist environments like seashores.

Residential Experience: As residential products, space capsules are meticulously designed to meet people's needs for comfortable living. In contrast, containers offer an extremely poor long-term residential experience and are not suitable as long-term living spaces.

Price: Prices for space capsules vary among manufacturers. For example, the aviation aluminum version of Muchen Cultural Tourism's space capsule B&B网红移动房 (internet-famous mobile house) integrated container house starts at 8,800 yuan, while there are also space capsule mobile houses priced at 2,888 yuan.
