Container Light Steel House Specifications

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The specifications of container light steel houses vary depending on their type and purpose, with common specifications including standard sizes and customized sizes.

Standard Size Specifications

Standard container light steel houses are usually designed based on the dimensions of international standard containers, with the following two main specifications:

  • 20-foot specification: The external dimensions are approximately 6 meters in length, 2.4 meters in width, and 2.6 meters in height, with an internal usable area of about 14-15 square meters. For example, Yashun Light Steel produced a 20-foot double-wing expandable container for a project in Chile, where the side spaces are folded during transportation and expanded to provide an indoor usable area of about 36 square meters upon arrival.
  • 40-foot specification: The external dimensions are approximately 12 meters in length, 2.4 meters in width, and 2.6 meters in height, with an internal usable area of about 28-30 square meters. For example, Guangzhou Jinge's 40-foot container house has individual dimensions of 11.8 meters × 2.25 meters × 2.8 meters, and when three units are joined together, the dimensions become 11.8 meters × 6.75 meters × 2.8 meters, providing a usable area of up to 80 square meters.

Customized Size Specifications

Customized container light steel houses are designed according to actual needs, offering high flexibility. Common specifications include:

  • Non-standard lengths: Such as 3 meters × 3 meters, 3 meters × 8 meters, 3 meters × 9 meters, etc., suitable for special sites or functional requirements. For example, Qinghai Guangzan Light Steel can customize the dimensions of foldable container mobile homes according to customer requirements, adapting to narrow sites or larger space needs.
  • Special functional designs: Such as double-wing expandable containers and duplex structures. Double-wing expandable containers fold the side spaces during transportation and expand them to increase the usable area upon arrival; duplex container houses increase the usable space through internal mezzanine designs.

Other Key Parameters

  • Materials and structure: Galvanized frames and color-steel sandwich panels are used to ensure wind, water, and earthquake resistance. For example, Guangzhou Jinge's container houses have a wind resistance rating of Level 9 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8.
  • Weight and transportation: A standard 20-foot container house weighs approximately 2600 kilograms, and a 40-foot high cube container can carry three sets of mobile homes, facilitating international transportation.
  • Internal configurations: Facilities such as kitchens, bathrooms, and air conditioners can be installed according to needs, meeting various purposes such as residence, office, and storage.
