Container Insulation House Design
Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026
Container insulation house design requires a comprehensive consideration of materials, structure, construction, and additional technologies to achieve efficient thermal insulation performance and meet the needs of comfortable living under different climatic conditions.

I. Selection of Core Materials Wall materials are the foundation of thermal insulation. The mainstream options include:
- Composite Sandwich Panels: The outer layer is made of aluminum-zinc color-coated steel plate, the middle layer is filled with high-efficiency thermal insulation materials such as rock wool, glass wool, or polyurethane, and the inner layer uses PVC-coated steel plate or decorative panels. For example, the Apple Pod container adopts a high-density polyurethane spray coating layer with an overall heat transfer coefficient (K-value) ≤ 0.28 W/㎡·K, meeting the standards for ultra-low-energy buildings.
- Rock Wool Sandwich Panels: These panels use a galvanized steel frame as the skeleton, filled with 80-100 mm thick rock wool in the middle. The outer layer is a 0.6 mm thick galvanized plate to resist wind and sand erosion, and the inner layer is a PVC-coated steel plate to reduce thermal radiation. This construction reduces indoor temperature fluctuations by about 40% compared to traditional color-coated steel plate houses.
II. Structural Optimization Design
- Container Combination and Spatial Layout: By connecting or stacking 2-3 containers in a staggered manner, functional areas (such as living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms) can be expanded. For example,打通 (connecting) two containers can create a flat layout with an integrated living and dining area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a bathtub. Staggered design improves ventilation and lighting, with the ground floor reserved for a leisure courtyard or passageway area.
- Curved Appearance and Wind Resistance Optimization: The Apple Pod adopts a curved or rounded design to reduce wind resistance and optimize drainage performance while enhancing visual appeal.
III. Key Construction Measures
- Multi-Layer Thermal Insulation System: The wall interior is filled with high-density thermal insulation materials, complemented by a moisture barrier and ventilation layer. For example, products in Hokkaido incorporate dual heating systems of underfloor heating and air conditioning, along with heat pump auxiliary heating technology, to ensure a constant indoor temperature of 22°C in environments as cold as -20°C.
- Air Tightness and Cold Bridge Blocking: Windows and doors are sealed with weatherstripping, and joints are treated for air tightness; an elevated layer is added at the bottom of the container to block cold bridge conduction from the ground.
- Shading and Lighting Balance: Large floor-to-ceiling windows, roof skylights, or glass partitions are installed to enhance lighting, while roof eaves, terrace awnings, or reflective coatings are used to prevent overheating in summer.
IV. Application of Additional Technologies
- Triple-Glazed Windows and Low-E Glass: Three layers of insulated tempered glass are selected, combined with low-emissivity coatings, to further enhance thermal insulation performance.
- Smart Temperature Control System: Integrates air conditioning, underfloor heating, and heat pump technologies to automatically adjust indoor temperature according to the environment, reducing energy consumption.
