Container House with Stove

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses can be equipped with stoves, but appropriate stove types need to be selected according to specific designs and uses, and safety measures should be taken.

I. Practical Application Cases of Container Houses with Stoves

  1. Customized Van-type Container House Case: In a certain case, an independent container is nested inside a van. The rear space is designed as a boiler room, housing a coal-fired stove connected to a smoke exhaust chimney. To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, multiple exhaust fans are installed on the top of the container to ensure ventilation. This design meets the sleeping needs of four people and is equipped with household inverter air conditioners, induction cookers, vegetable washing sinks, refrigerators, and other equipment. It also reserves 10 kWh of electricity and a 100-liter freshwater tank, demonstrating a combination of functionality and safety.

  2. Customized Container House Case: Some customized container houses have fireplaces installed in the living rooms on the first floor or the bedrooms on the second floor, forming a unified axis design with the overall space. In such cases, the fireplace serves as both a decorative and heating device and requires a professional smoke exhaust system to ensure the effective discharge of combustion exhaust gases.

II. Safety Design and Regulatory Requirements

  1. Ventilation System: Open-flame devices such as coal-fired stoves must be equipped with smoke exhaust pipes, and the chimneys should extend outside the container to prevent exhaust gas backflow. At the same time, ventilation openings should be reserved in the container body or exhaust fans should be installed to maintain air circulation and reduce the risk of carbon monoxide accumulation.

  2. Fire-resistant Materials: The inner walls of the container should be made of fire-resistant panels or coated with flame-retardant paint. An insulation layer should be set around the stove to prevent high temperatures from igniting combustible materials. In some cases, the stove is kept at a safe distance from the wall and equipped with fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.

  3. Structural Stability: The installation of the stove should take into account the load-bearing capacity of the container to avoid structural deformation caused by concentrated loads. Heavy-duty equipment such as coal-fired stoves should be fixed to the ground to prevent displacement during transportation or use.

III. Applicable Scenarios and Limitations

  1. Temporary Uses: Container houses with stoves are commonly seen in temporary scenarios such as construction site dormitories and wild work sites. Regular inspections of the smoke exhaust system and electrical wiring are required to ensure safety.

  2. Compliance Requirements: Some regions have strict restrictions on the use of open-flame devices in container houses. It is necessary to consult the local fire department in advance and obtain permission before installation.
