Does the Container House Have Air Conditioning?

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses are equipped with air conditioning, but the configuration varies depending on their specific uses and designs. There was an issue of insufficient air conditioning at the Nagoya Asian Games. The following provides a detailed explanation from different scenarios:

Air Conditioning in Container Houses at the Nagoya Asian Games

At the Nagoya Asian Games, the organizing committee adopted a combination of container houses, cruise ships, and scattered hotels to accommodate participants in order to cut costs. Among them, the container temporary housing built at Nagoya Port accommodated approximately 2,000 athletes and officials. Each container unit consisted of two households, with each household planned as a two-bedroom, one-living-room space providing accommodation for three people, and only one air conditioner was installed in the entire house. Due to the relatively enclosed space of the container houses and the need to meet the demands of multiple occupants, one air conditioner was insufficient to effectively regulate the indoor temperature. In September, Nagoya was hot and humid. Once the door was closed, the interior quickly became stuffy and unbearable. The organizing committee even suggested that athletes open the door to cool the room before going to bed and then close it, which fully illustrated the problem of insufficient air conditioning.

Air Conditioning in Container Houses in Other Scenarios

In scenarios such as engineering camps, commercial pop-ups, and government and enterprise temporary buildings, container mobile houses are widely used due to their flexibility, portability, and cost-effectiveness. In these scenarios, container houses are usually equipped with air conditioning in a reasonable manner according to actual needs and usage environments. For example, in some long-term engineering camps, to ensure the comfort of staff, sufficient air conditioners with appropriate power and quantity may be installed in each room or specific area to meet the temperature regulation needs in different seasons.

Factors Influencing Air Conditioning Configuration

Whether a container house is equipped with air conditioning and the number of units installed mainly depend on factors such as its purpose, number of users, and usage environment. For short-term use, scenarios with fewer people and lower environmental requirements may have relatively simple air conditioning configurations. In contrast, for long-term use, scenarios with a large number of people or high requirements for environmental comfort will place greater emphasis on the reasonable configuration of air conditioning.
