Container House Window Design Drawing

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The window design of container houses typically adopts a symmetrical layout with a door in the middle and two windows on each side, balancing ventilation, lighting, and structural safety. Here are the specific design points:

The window design of container houses should be planned based on the dimensions and structural characteristics of standard containers. Taking 20-foot or 40-foot standard containers as examples, a metal door frame is usually installed along the longitudinal centerline, with double doors designed for easy access. On both sides of the door, the window layout should follow the principle of symmetry: install two windows approximately 1 meter away from each side of the door, with a window spacing of about 0.5 meters. This spacing is designed to avoid damaging the original load-bearing structure of the container and ensure overall stability.

The dimensions and positions of the windows should consider both practicality and ergonomics. Common window dimensions are rectangular, measuring 0.6 meters (width) × 0.8 meters (height), which provides sufficient lighting without overly affecting the container's strength. The installation height of the windows is usually about 0.9 meters from the ground, which is convenient for daily viewing, prevents rainwater from splashing into the room, and aligns with the visual range of a standing person.

In terms of material selection, window frames are mostly made of metal materials that match the main body of the container, such as aluminum alloy or galvanized steel, to enhance corrosion resistance and overall coordination. For glass, it is recommended to use double-glazed units or tempered glass. The former improves thermal insulation performance, while the latter enhances impact resistance, meeting the usage requirements under different climatic conditions.

Ventilation efficiency should also be considered in the design. Symmetrically arranged windows can create convection, accelerating indoor air circulation, especially in humid or high-temperature environments, effectively improving living comfort. If further ventilation optimization is needed, operable vents can be added above or below the windows, but care should be taken to avoid damaging the container's waterproof layer.

Additionally, the opening method of the windows should be selected based on actual needs. Casement windows offer good sealing but take up space, sliding windows save space but have slightly weaker sealing, and top-hung windows are suitable for ventilation on rainy days. The design should weigh these options based on the specific use of the container house (such as residential, office, or storage) and the climatic characteristics of the region.

In summary, the window design of container houses should strike a balance between structural safety, functional practicality, and aesthetic coordination. Through reasonable layout, dimensions, and material selection, ventilation, lighting, and space utilization can be optimized.
