Container House Water Pipe Installation Diagram
The installation of water pipes in container houses requires consideration of their structural characteristics, adherence to standardized procedures, and attention to key details. The following provides an explanation from three aspects: installation steps, material selection, and precautions:

Installation Steps
- Positioning and Planning: Carefully study the construction drawings. Use an ink fountain to snap a horizontal construction line along the infrared leveler on the walls around the container house. Use positioning signs to mark the predetermined positions of the water outlets. Plan a reasonable water pipe route from the incoming water flow to each water usage point to ensure a scientific layout and convenient use.
- Trenching: Snap lines and cut according to the planned water pipe route. Clean both the inner and outer sides of the cut trenches to ensure a flat trench surface. Then, wet the trenches and apply waterproofing to prevent future leakage issues.
- Water Pipe Installation: Different pipe materials have different installation methods. For home improvement, PPR pipes are commonly used. Cut, heat-fuse, and connect them according to the brand's characteristics. For example, pay attention to the force and angle during heat-fusing to avoid blockages in the pipes.
- Water Pipe Fixing: Use appropriate fittings to fix the water pipes at different positions such as the unleveled ground, wall facades, and ceilings. The spacing between cold water pipe clamps should be no more than 60 centimeters, and the spacing between hot water pipe clamps should be no more than 25 centimeters to ensure the stability of the water pipes.
- Acceptance Inspection: Install plugs at each water outlet and open the main water inlet valve to fill the pipes with water. Check for leaks at each connection. Then, conduct a water pressure test. The pressure of the pressure testing machine should reach above 0.6 and be maintained for 20 - 30 minutes. If the pointer position on the pressure gauge does not change, it indicates that the water pipes are well-sealed, and the next step of trench filling can be carried out.
Material Selection
In modern home improvement, water pipes are generally made of PPR heat-fused pipes. They can be divided into three types based on material: pure PPR, stainless steel, and copper. Functionally, they are divided into cold and hot types. Cold and hot water pipes should not be mixed, especially cold water pipes should not be used as hot water pipes. Well-known domestic brands in the market include Zhongcai, Jinde, Weixing, and Rifeng, which offer quality assurance.
Precautions
- Water Pipe Route: It is better to run water pipes along the ceiling rather than the floor. Running them along the ceiling facilitates maintenance. If water pipes are installed on the floor, they have to bear the pressure from tiles and people, which poses a risk of cracking the pipes.
- Trench Depth: The plaster layer after embedding cold water pipes should be more than 1 cm thick, and the plaster layer after embedding hot water pipes should be more than 1.5 cm thick.
- Cold and Hot Water Pipe Principle: Follow the principle of "hot on the left, cold on the right; hot on the top, cold on the bottom". Also, the heights of the installed cold and hot water pipe ends should be on the same horizontal plane to facilitate the installation of cold and hot water switches and ensure aesthetics.
