Water and Electricity Supply for Container Houses

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses can be equipped with complete water and electricity pipeline systems to meet daily water and electricity needs, and can enhance energy efficiency and environmental protection in various ways.

Water Supply

  • Basic Configuration: Container houses can be connected to the municipal water supply system to ensure a stable water source. In areas without municipal water supply, additional water tanks can be used to solve water supply issues, and the two can be used in combination. For example, in some remote construction sites or temporary camps, water tanks can serve as a supplement or alternative to municipal water supply.
  • Drainage Design: To avoid moisture, the ground level during container house installation should be higher than the surrounding area, and drainage ditches should be excavated around the container. During the summer rainy season, a gable-shaped canopy can be added to the top of the container to facilitate rainwater drainage.
  • Special Systems: Some container houses are also equipped with rainwater collection systems to achieve water resource recycling. For example, the rainwater collection system in container shower rooms can be used for non-potable water scenarios, improving water resource utilization efficiency.

Electricity Supply

  • Conventional Power Supply: Container houses can be connected to the conventional power grid to meet daily electricity needs. For some temporary or remote container houses with insufficient power grid coverage, generators and other methods can be used for power supply.
  • Renewable Energy Utilization: To enhance energy efficiency and environmental protection, container houses can use renewable energy equipment such as solar panels. For example, solar photovoltaic panels can be used to supply electricity indoors, and solar water heaters can be used for heating and water supply. Some improved solutions replace ordinary solar collectors with new photovoltaic-thermal panels that can generate electricity and heat simultaneously, further improving energy utilization efficiency.
  • Power Supply Adaptability: Container houses for different purposes have different power requirements. For example, insulated container houses require support for 380-volt three-phase power, and users can directly put them into use by confirming the power supply conditions at the site.
