Container House Tile Floor

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

It is feasible to lay tile floors in container houses, but multiple factors need to be comprehensively considered and corresponding measures should be taken.

Floor Foundation Treatment

Floor foundation treatment in container houses is a crucial step to provide a uniform load-bearing base for subsequent tile laying. Due to the unique characteristics of container houses, the floor needs to have good flatness and stability. If the floor foundation is not solid, during subsequent use, tiles may crack or become hollow due to issues such as floor settlement. For example, in some cases, improper floor foundation treatment has led to extensive damage to the tiles shortly after laying, affecting both usability and aesthetics.

Waterproofing and Damp-proofing Treatment

The waterproofing and damp-proofing performance of container houses may be relatively weaker compared to traditional houses, and tile floors have certain requirements for waterproofing and damp-proofing. Before laying tiles, it is necessary to properly waterproof and damp-proof the floor of the container house, such as applying waterproof coatings or laying waterproof membranes. In cases of container houses in coastal or humid areas, effective waterproofing and damp-proofing treatments have enabled tile floors to remain in good condition for a long time, avoiding issues such as tile detachment and mold growth caused by moisture.

Tile Selection and Laying Techniques

  • Tile Selection: Tiles with good quality, high strength, and low water absorption should be selected to adapt to possible vibrations in container houses. For example, some vitrified tiles, with their high hardness and good wear resistance, can better meet the usage requirements of container houses.
  • Laying Techniques: During the laying process, ensure that the tiles are firmly bonded to the floor using appropriate adhesives and follow standard construction techniques. At the same time, pay attention to the gap treatment between tiles to avoid cracking due to thermal expansion and contraction. In some successful cases of tile floor laying in container houses, construction personnel have strictly followed the technical requirements, resulting in flat, aesthetically pleasing, and durable tile floors.
