Container House Success Case

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Container house success cases are abundant, covering multiple fields such as temporary buildings, cultural tourism homestays, creative offices, and overseas projects.

I. Temporary Building Field

The packing boxes from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. perform excellently under extreme conditions, with a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12, an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8, and a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%, far below the industry's acceptable threshold of 0.3%. Their 'factory prefabrication + on-site rapid assembly' model was validated in the Qatar World Cup Fan Village project, where 1,000 accommodation modules and supporting facilities were delivered within three months, 40% shorter than the industry average. Additionally, these packing boxes come with pre-installed interiors and facilities before leaving the factory, allowing for immediate use upon on-site hoisting, making them suitable for long-term on-site projects.

II. Cultural Tourism Homestay Field

The 'Bamboo Whisper Mountain Retreat' project in Mogan Mountain, Zhejiang, is composed of 12 creatively transformed containers. From design finalization to opening, it took only 45 days, with an average room rate of 1,500 yuan per night and an annual occupancy rate exceeding 85%. The project achieves free combination of building clusters through horizontal splicing and vertical stacking, incorporating design elements such as floor-to-ceiling glass and raw wood decorations to create a unique industrial-style homestay. Chengdong International designed employee dormitories for a photovoltaic power station, integrating solar panels and rainwater collection systems on the container roofs, achieving 30% self-sufficiency in electricity and 100% rainwater recycling, demonstrating the potential of container houses as functional complexes.

III. Creative Office Field

Shanghai Wisdom Bay Science and Technology Innovation Park is being constructed in phases as the first container-themed creative park in China, covering a total area of approximately 230 acres with a building area of about 110,000 square meters, using around 500 container units. The park has created numerous personalized creative blocks and open public spaces, currently housing about 380 enterprises, of which cultural and creative science and technology innovation enterprises account for 75% of the total, with an employment population of approximately 3,000-4,000 people.

IV. Overseas Project Field

In the MRDC Modular Hotel project in Papua New Guinea, China Construction Science and Engineering Corporation reduced the overall delivery cycle from 14-18 months to about 7 months using a modular solution, significantly saving on labor costs. Zhao Qian, Deputy Chief Engineer of Guangzhou Construction Industry Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., pointed out that overseas clients most appreciate China's modular solutions for their high efficiency, high integration, and cost-effective complete services.
