Details of Structural Nodes of Container Houses

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The main structural nodes of container houses include splicing and combination nodes, split-level design nodes, lighting-related nodes, insulation-related nodes, shading-related nodes, courtyard and external environment treatment nodes, rust and corrosion prevention nodes, waterproof sealing nodes, and internal condensation prevention nodes.

  1. Splicing and Combination Nodes:

    • Typically, 2 - 3 containers are spliced or stacked in a split-level manner to expand functional areas. For example,打通 (connecting) two containers can create a flat layout with an integrated living and dining area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a bathtub. When splicing, attention should be paid to the connection strength and stability between the containers to ensure overall structural safety.
  2. Split-Level Design Nodes:

    • Stacking containers in an upper and lower split-level manner can create rich spatial layers. The ground floor can be reserved for a leisure courtyard or aisle area to improve ventilation and lighting. Split-level design needs to consider the balance of structural forces and reasonably set up support structures.
  3. Lighting-Related Nodes:

    • Install large floor-to-ceiling windows, roof skylights, glass partitions, etc., to make the interior bright and transparent and blend with nature. The connections between these lighting components and the container walls should be well-sealed to prevent water leakage.
  4. Insulation-Related Nodes:

    • Install internal insulation layers on the walls and roof and use triple-glazed windows to achieve warmth in winter and coolness in summer, with better heat insulation than red brick walls. The connection between the insulation layer and the container structure should be firm to avoid thermal bridges.
  5. Shading-Related Nodes:

    • Set up roof eaves or terrace sunshades to prevent intense sun exposure in summer and enrich the facade. The installation of shading components should take into account factors such as wind loads to ensure their stability.
  6. Courtyard and External Environment Treatment Nodes:

    • The exterior facade can be treated with paint spraying, themed spray painting, hanging panels, or glass curtain walls to get rid of the industrial feel and create a villa-like atmosphere. The container is elevated on pile foundations to prevent moisture and insects and also facilitate site leveling.
  7. Rust and Corrosion Prevention Nodes:

    • During the construction phase, all cutting and welding incisions must be polished and coated with epoxy primer and topcoat. Check the welds, corners, bottoms, eaves, and other parts every year. If small rust spots are found, polish and repaint them immediately. Determine the repainting cycle according to the environment in different regions.
  8. Waterproof Sealing Nodes:

    • Use sealant around doors and windows, container splicing seams, and roof gutters, and the sealant should be replaced regularly. Clean the roof leaves every year and strictly prohibit water accumulation on the roof.
  9. Internal Condensation Prevention Nodes:

    • Ensure good insulation of the walls and roof and sealing of doors and windows to reduce the temperature difference between the interior and exterior and prevent wall dripping caused by condensation due to temperature differences.
