Fixation of Steel Wire Ropes for Container Houses

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The following steps and key points can be referred to for the fixation of steel wire ropes for container houses:

I. Preliminary Preparations

  1. Material Inspection: Select galvanized steel wire ropes with a diameter of 6-10mm, ensuring there are no broken wires, rust, or deformation. The accompanying clamps, tensioners, hooks, and other accessories should be free of cracks or stripped threads.
  2. Site and Tools: Work on a flat and open site. Prepare gloves, safety ropes, wrenches, tape measures, and lubricating oil. For high-altitude operations, use scaffolding or lifting platforms and implement fall protection measures.
  3. Structural Pre-assembly: If used for tarpaulin fixation, first assemble the main frame, reel, and guide wheels according to the drawings, ensuring that the rotating parts are flexible and free from jamming.

II. Segmented Installation Process

  1. Installation of Side Steel Wire Ropes
    • Fix one end of the steel wire rope to the hook base at the front of the tarpaulin using a clamp, leaving a redundancy length of 10-15cm.
    • Thread the steel wire rope through the guide wheel groove and fix it to the tarpaulin straps with clamps every 1.5-2m. Connect the end to the tensioner base and the automatic retraction mechanism's rotating shaft.
  2. Installation of Top Main Steel Wire Ropes
    • If the tarpaulin has a top load-bearing structure, lay the main steel wire ropes along the horizontal guide rails and fix both ends to the front and rear fixing bases of the container.
    • When multiple steel wire ropes are connected in parallel, adjust the tension uniformly using tensioners to prevent the tarpaulin from shifting.
  3. Installation of Tensioning Mechanism
    • Install the tensioner at the end of the steel wire rope where it connects to the motor. Adjust the initial position so that the steel wire rope is neither slack nor overly tight.

III. Debugging and Final Fixation

  1. Tension Debugging: Start the automatic retraction program, observe the tarpaulin's expansion/retraction process, and adjust the tensioner until the steel wire rope moves smoothly without jamming and the tarpaulin does not sag significantly when expanded.
  2. Final Fixation: Secure all clamps, apply lubricating oil to sliding contact areas, and organize excess steel wire rope ends with cable ties to prevent scratching the container body.
  3. Safety Testing: Repeat the retraction action 3-5 times continuously to check for wire rope dislodgement, breakage, and the firmness of fixing points.

IV. Simple Fixation Techniques If a complex structure is not required, two screws can be used to fix the steel wire rope:

  1. Thread two identical nuts onto the steel wire rope and wrap it around a fixed steel pipe to form a loop.
  2. Return the end of the steel wire rope along its original path, threading it through both nuts and pushing it to the root of the loop.
  3. Make a small fold and thread it through the nut closest to the steel pipe, pulling tightly to complete the fixation.

Precautions: Before installation, confirm that the specifications of the steel wire rope match the design. Strictly adhere to safety regulations for high-altitude operations and regularly inspect the fixing points and wear on the steel wire ropes.
