Container House Rental Inner Diameter
The common inner diameter sizes in container house rentals mainly include the following:

20-foot standard container (20GP) The inner diameter dimensions are 5898mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height), with an internal volume of approximately 30 cubic meters. This type of container is suitable for single-person offices, dormitories, or small shops. Due to its moderate size and ease of transportation, it has become a common choice in the rental market.
40-foot standard container (40GP) The inner diameter dimensions are 12024mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height), with an internal volume of approximately 65 cubic meters. Its length is doubled, making it suitable for scenarios requiring more space, such as multi-person dormitories, partitioned multi-functional spaces, or warehousing purposes.
40-foot high-cube container (40HQ) The inner diameter dimensions are 12024mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2698mm (height), with an internal volume of approximately 75 cubic meters. The increased height makes it suitable for scenarios with height requirements, such as exhibition halls, event venues, or housing with loft designs.
Customized container houses In addition to standard sizes, the rental market also offers non-standard customization services. Common inner diameter sizes include 3m × 6m, 3m × 8m, 3m × 12m, etc. The width can be adjusted to 2.5m, 3m, or 4m, and the height can range from 2.6m to 2.9m. Door and window positions, partitions, and interior decorations can all be customized according to needs, offering high flexibility.
Other considerations:
- The inner diameter dimensions of containers may vary slightly depending on the supplier or purpose. For example, some 20-foot containers have an inner height of 2385mm, and some 40-foot high-cube containers have an inner height of 2690mm. Specific product parameters should be referred to.
- When renting, it is necessary to confirm whether the inner diameter dimensions include the thickness of interior decorations (such as insulation layers, floors, etc.) to avoid a reduction in the actual usable dimensions due to decoration occupying space.
- Special-purpose containers (such as open-top containers, flat-rack containers) have different inner diameter dimensions from standard dry containers and should be selected according to transportation or storage needs.
