Container House Renovation

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

Container house renovation can achieve diverse decorations, meeting the needs of different scenarios, with a texture close to that of ordinary houses. The specific renovation effects are as follows:

I. Interior Decoration Styles and Functions

  1. Simple and Practical Style: Suitable for construction site dormitories or temporary office spaces, with wall panels installed and switches and sockets fully equipped to meet basic living needs. For example, in Zhongye Zhichuang's customized plan, this type of decoration focuses on functionality, with low costs and short construction periods.
  2. High-end Homestay Style: Through integrated designs of suspended ceilings, wooden floors, and bathrooms, with reserved positions for air conditioning and hot water equipment, a comfortable living environment is created. For example, in a case in Xiaogan, Hubei, a second-hand container was renovated into a log-style homestay, equipped with a projection screen, an open kitchen, and an independent bathroom, with a cost of only 13,000 yuan.
  3. Minimalist Style: Designs such as linear kitchens, foldable custom beds, and hidden storage are adopted to maximize space utilization. For example, a Danish man renovated a family home using nine containers, introducing natural light through large windows and retaining the corrugated metal inner walls of the containers to create a unique industrial style.

II. Space Utilization and Layout Innovations

  1. Modular Combination: Multiple containers are stacked alternately to form functional areas with a staggered layout. For example, in Tsinghua University's "Sustainable Living Lab" project, six containers were used to construct a modular residence including bedrooms, experimental spaces, and kitchens and bathrooms, achieving versatile space through combination modes.
  2. Deformable Design: The usable area is expanded through hydraulic systems or folding structures. For example, in a certain case, the side of a container unfolds to form a hydraulic deck terrace, and indoor furniture can be stored in the walls, allowing up to seven people to sleep in a 30㎡ space.
  3. Vertical Space Utilization: Open-air balconies or terraces are added on top of containers. For example, two sisters renovated a 12-meter container, creating a two-story leisure space through top expansion and stair design.

III. Material and Equipment Selection

  1. Simultaneous Interior and Exterior Customization: Customers can choose wall materials, floor styles, and lighting fixtures. For example, in Zhongye Zhichuang's plan, most of the interior decoration work is completed in the factory, reducing on-site construction.
  2. Environmentally Friendly and Functional Materials: Fire-resistant and burn-proof black special materials are used to decorate the area around stoves, blue gradient tiles are used in bathrooms for waterproofing and moisture resistance, and the kitchen is equipped with double-door cabinets and open shelves.
  3. Sustainable Equipment: Solar panels are installed to solve electricity problems. For example, a British couple's forest cabin achieves energy self-sufficiency and sufficient lighting through roof solar panels and lifting pole designs.
