Low Cost of Container Houses
Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026
The low cost of container houses is mainly reflected in two aspects: purchase cost and rental cost.

Low Purchase Cost
- Affordable Base Prices: A container with an interior area of approximately 13 square meters after decoration sells for around 12,000 yuan, with a price per square meter of nearly 900 yuan. The selling prices of residential container mobile homes typically range from 5,000 to 12,000 yuan. For all-iron-sheet rock wool board residential containers, after decoration, the small ones with an area of about 9 square meters are priced between 3,500 and 8,000 yuan each; the standard-sized ones with an area of about 18 square meters are priced between 4,500 and 11,000 yuan each; and the slightly larger ones with an area of about 21 square meters are priced between 5,500 and 12,600 yuan each.
- Reasons for Cost Differences: Price differences mainly depend on the newness of the purchased containers and the materials used. For example, low-end products cost between 5,000 and 8,000 yuan, but their thermal insulation performance cannot be guaranteed. Products from manufacturers with quality assurance are usually about twice the price of low-end products, ranging from 11,000 to 16,000 yuan, and offer better thermal insulation effects.
Low Rental Cost
- Inexpensive Daily Rent: The rental price of container houses is not high, starting at just 6 yuan per day and 180 yuan per month. For all-iron-sheet rock wool board residential containers, after decoration, the daily rental price for small ones is 3 yuan; for standard-sized ones, it is 6 yuan; for slightly larger ones, it is 7 yuan; and for customized ones, it is around 6 yuan.
- Advantages of Bulk Rental: For scenarios requiring bulk use, such as construction site dormitories, choosing foldable container houses offers high cost-effectiveness. Taking transportation as an example, one truck can haul about 20 units, saving half of the transportation cost. Moreover, they can be installed quickly, enabling rapid occupancy of temporary construction site containers and further reducing overall costs.
