Interior Height of Container Houses
The interior height of container houses varies from 2.35 meters to 2.8 meters depending on the type and customization requirements. Details are as follows:
I. Standard Packed Container Houses The interior height is usually 2.5 meters. For example, the interior dimensions of a certain packed container house are 5880 mm in length, 2840 mm in width, and 2500 mm in height. These houses often adopt standardized designs and are suitable for construction site dormitories, temporary offices, etc. The interior space is relatively regular, and the height can meet basic activity needs.
II. Standard Shipping Container Renovated Houses
- 20-foot Standard Container (20GP): The interior height is 2.35 meters, and the exterior height is 2591 mm. These houses are commonly used for single-person offices, dormitories, or shops. The interior space is compact, and the height is suitable for single-person or a small number of people's activities.
- 40-foot Standard Container (40GP): The interior height is also 2.35 meters, but it has a larger length and width, making it suitable for multi-person dormitories or partitioned multi-functional spaces.
- 40-foot High Cube Container (40HQ): The interior height is increased to 2.655 meters, and the exterior height reaches 2896 mm. These houses are specially designed for scenarios with height requirements, such as exhibition halls and residences. The interior space is more spacious and can accommodate taller furniture or equipment.
III. Non-standard Customized Container Houses The height can be flexibly adjusted according to requirements, with common options including 2.6 meters, 2.7 meters, 2.8 meters, 2.9 meters, etc. For example, some projects may customize houses with dimensions like 3 meters × 6 meters or 3 meters × 8 meters, and the height will be adjusted accordingly to meet special purposes (such as warehousing and event venues). In addition, the positions of doors and windows, partitions, exteriors, and interior decorations can all be customized as needed, further expanding the application scenarios of container houses.
