Container House Height

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The common height range of container houses is between 2.35 meters and 2.8 meters, with some customized or special-purpose container houses reaching heights of 2.9 meters or even higher. Here are the specific details:

I. Height of Standard Container Houses

Among the commonly used dry cargo container houses internationally, the internal height of a 20-foot standard container typically ranges from 2.35 meters to 2.39 meters, with an external height of approximately 2.59 meters. Similarly, the internal height of a 40-foot standard container also ranges from 2.35 meters to 2.39 meters, with an external height of about 2.59 meters. However, the internal height of a 40-foot high-cube container is increased to between 2.65 meters and 2.68 meters, with an external height of approximately 2.89 meters. These standard dimensions are suitable for most conventional uses, such as single-person offices, dormitories, or shops.

II. Height of Non-Standard Customized Container Houses

In addition to standard sizes, container houses can also be customized according to customer needs. In terms of height, common non-standard customization options include 2.6 meters, 2.7 meters, 2.8 meters, and 2.9 meters. These customized dimensions can meet the requirements of scenarios with special height needs, such as exhibition halls, residences, or spaces requiring the installation of large equipment.

III. Height of Special-Purpose Container Houses

For certain special-purpose container houses, such as foldable container houses or giant container buildings, their heights may further exceed conventional ranges. For example, the construction height of foldable container houses is typically 2.59 meters, but some innovative designs may achieve higher spaces through stacking or splicing. Giant container buildings, on the other hand, may create multi-story structures by interweaving multiple containers horizontally and vertically. Each container has a standard height of 3 meters, but the overall building height will vary according to design requirements and the number of stacked layers.
