Foam Spraying for Container Houses

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

When applying foam to container houses, it is crucial to choose materials carefully. Prioritize the use of Class A fire-resistant materials such as rock wool and fireproof cotton, and avoid using flammable materials like polystyrene and polyurethane foam.

I. Fire Hazards of Flammable Foam Materials

  1. Fast Combustion Speed: Flammable materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam will melt, deform, and drip at 80℃. The drippings can trigger more severe combustion, and the combustion products are highly toxic, easily leading to casualties.
  2. Rapid Fire Spread: Once these materials catch fire, the flames will spread rapidly, potentially causing large-scale fires in a short period and increasing the difficulty of firefighting.
  3. Difficulty in Escape: Combustion produces a large amount of black smoke and toxic gases, such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide, making it difficult for trapped individuals to survive.

II. Selection of Compliant Materials

  1. Class A Fire-Resistant Materials: According to the requirements of the "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings", container houses should use Class A fire-resistant materials such as rock wool and glass wool as fillers. These materials are non-combustible, have a high fire resistance limit, and can effectively prevent the spread of fire.
  2. Compliance with Fire Safety Standards: Use materials that meet the fire safety conditions of construction sites, such as rock wool boards and fireproof cotton, to ensure that the fire performance of container houses meets the standards.

III. Safety Measures During Use

  1. Keep Away from Heat and Fire Sources: During use, heat and fire sources should not be placed close to container houses. Open flame operations should maintain a certain distance to prevent fires.
  2. Electrical Wiring Safety: Electrical wires and cables should be protected with sleeves. Sockets and switch boxes should use metal galvanized boxes and be installed in an exposed manner to prevent fires caused by electrical wiring faults.
  3. Equip with Fire Extinguishing Equipment: Simple fire extinguishing equipment should be provided inside and outside container houses to facilitate initial firefighting and reduce losses in case of a fire.
