Soft Floor of Container House
The soft floor of a container house can be addressed by methods such as replacing high-strength materials, adding support structures, inspecting and repairing floor defects, and controlling environmental humidity. Details are as follows:

1. Replace with high-strength floor materials
The choice of floor materials for a container house directly affects its load-bearing capacity and durability. If the original floor is made of ordinary wood or thin PVC material, it can be replaced with magnesium oxide fireproof flooring, fiber cement board, or patterned aluminum plate. Magnesium oxide board has characteristics such as Class A fire resistance, waterproof and moisture-proof properties, and strong load-bearing capacity. Products with a thickness of over 15mm can meet the load-bearing requirements of residential container houses. Fiber cement board has high density and strong impact resistance, making it suitable for scenarios that require frequent movement or heavy object stacking. Patterned aluminum plate combines anti-slip, corrosion-resistant, and lightweight advantages, making it particularly suitable for humid environments or places that require frequent cleaning.
2. Add floor support structures
If the floor softening is caused by deformation of the bottom crossbeams or insufficient support, the bottom structure of the container body needs to be inspected. Overall stability can be improved by increasing the number of crossbeams, reinforcing welding points, or replacing rusted bolts. For example, adding angle steel or channel steel supports at the connection between the floor and the container body can effectively disperse pressure and prevent local sagging.
3. Inspect and repair floor defects
Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the existing floor:
- Visual inspection: Check for cracks, holes, or obvious wear. Defects with a depth of more than 3mm need to be repaired in a timely manner;
- Tapping test: Tap the floor with a hard object. Areas with a hollow sound may have internal voids or delamination and need to be partially replaced;
- Connector inspection: Ensure that the welding or bolt connections between the floor and the container body are free from rust, desoldering, or looseness to avoid support failure.
4. Control environmental humidity
Excessive moisture content in wooden floors can accelerate decay and lead to softening. If wooden floors are used, the moisture content needs to be detected with a hygrometer. When the moisture content exceeds 19%, drying measures should be taken, such as enhancing ventilation, using dehumidifiers, or replacing with waterproof floor materials. In addition, avoiding long-term exposure of the container to humid environments can extend the service life of the floor.
