Container House Exterior Design Drawings
Currently, there are no specific exterior design drawings for container houses, but here are some common types and characteristics of container house exterior designs:
Vibrant Color Type: Some container houses adopt bright colors in their exterior design, such as red. This design emphasizes maintaining the texture of the original container materials, with bold and unrestrained color combinations. Bright colors not only harmonize with the surrounding environment but also make the container houses a striking feature, attracting people's attention. In tourist attractions or creative parks, such vibrant container houses often serve as distinctive buildings, adding vitality to the entire area.
Exposed Material Type: Some container houses choose to expose the original materials of the containers, such as the Quartz Cabin in Cornwall, UK, which features a bold blue exterior and reveals exposed corrugated steel. This design highlights the industrial style of the container, showcasing a primitive and rugged aesthetic. At the same time, the exposed materials allow people to intuitively feel the unique structure of the container house, reflecting a direct dialogue between architecture and materials.
Mixed Material Type: To enrich the exterior appearance of container houses, mixed material designs are also employed. For example, the Container Hotel (Křešice) features exposed container walls and spruce wood decorations on the exterior, combining the hardness of metal with the warmth of wood to create a modern yet cozy atmosphere. A rural house in South Korea has two overlapping container units installed on the roof, decorated with wooden planks on the outside. This design not only adds a sense of layering to the house but also helps the container house blend better into the rural environment.
Unique Shape Type: In addition to conventional rectangular designs, some container houses adopt unique shapes. For example, the Star-shaped Residence, which may seem a bit odd at first glance, is composed of several containers with a slanted design. This unique shape breaks free from the constraints of traditional architecture, showcasing innovation and individuality, delivering a strong visual impact, and reflecting the designer's creative ideas and unique understanding of space.
